If it didn't need 93 octane I would get one as a daily.

 Rich we have ran ours on 87 also but we keep it at 93 just because i want all of it's power smile

i know Elco runs his on 87 he drove it from maryland to the sea pirate w/o and problems and no ping he said.

I would really love to get my hands on one of these SS's. Maybe when the '01 craps out I'll make the move... but that won;t be for a while now

Really? I want to trade my Trailblazer in for a vehicle with better gas mileage. I get 15.1 average mpg and it sucks. I thought 87 octane would seriously screw up the way the car runs.
