Wipers Park in Up Position
Permalink Closed

This is the 3rd time this happened to me. The wipers park in the up position. It's not a ford,  the car is not under warranty anymore. Can anyone help who has fixed this problem?

Bill, I am asuming that this is on the 02 Monte? There is an spring loaded ecentric [crank arm] on the wiper motor that the wiper transmission mounts too, if the wipers ever got caught on something [like the hood or ice build up] it flips the thing around and causes them to park upwards. it needs to be reset or just replaced if it's worn. Also there is a metal tab on the mounting bracket that gets bent, so then the motor doesn't know where park is.
