I had grown tired of having such a dim dashboard during night driving. It was so bad that I could barely see the gauges. All the bulbs were lit and the dimmer was cranked to the brightest setting. I decided to purchase some LED bulbs and give them a shot.
Tim and I both purchased a 20 pack of the 168/194 bulbs. I figured that was more than enough for the dash, corner lights/marker lights, license plate lights, glove box, etc. One bulb came 1/2 dead and I still have some extras for spares.
Having my dash board apart a number of times I knew that it was going to be an easy upgrade. I also had a tachometer that I got at the junkyard and i also installed that as well. There is no connections on the housing of the car but it looks cool in the dash as I only had the dummy plate before.
Below are some before and after pictures.

Last month I also purchased a new radio for the car. I wanted the stock look. I ran across a guy on eBay that sells modded radios. I wanted to be able to hook my iPod up to the stereo so I bought this. It sounds great and was exactly what I was looking for.
Nice Job Matt! I really like that look. Matt has been thinking of doing that to his dash as well. He has a greenish color now, but wants a blueish hue. I was thinking a bright white for mine.
