Jim's 2012 upgrades
Permalink Closed

the monte needs some upgrades for this season.
SSBC dual piston calipers
slotted summit rotors
KYB shocks
new wheel bearings and seals
new master cylinder
going to look into a larger brake booster as well.
i might put new upper controls arms on as well. since i have a pair sitting there already.

Dropping it off on Monday night for new 3" exhaust to new Flowmaster 40 mufflers and 2.5" tailpipes.....
that's right my car will finally have tailpipes...lol

ok
i got the rear shocks on and spent some time redoing the rigged hangers the guy did on the exhaust.
he did a nice job tucking them up into the body the second time around.

here are the rigged hangers and one i had to weld a piece on to it to make it longer

his hangers on

and mine

shots of the system he made

some what videos of it running.

took the steering shaft out at the last minute. will get the new one painted and back in.

it's closer Scott.
sounds good at idle but higher Rpm it is iffy to me. but it is probably because of the tailpipes

I need to get mine tucked up when it gets done. I'm getting tired of scrapping and burning the grass under the car when I'm at a show

Jim, that looks great! Too bad about the master cylinder. Hopefully you can still return it after you painted it. A warranty on it would cover it either way, right? Hopefully you get it resolved without more aggravation.
