Trans shift kit

My question is is $750 a good price for a shift kit install plus. The shop told me that to do it right they have to remove the tranny and put the shift kit he said something about first and second gear and add a bigger band and some other stuff he lost me with what he was talking about.I was told by a couple of people thats a good price and he is doing more then just a shift kit he making sure the trannycan handle the torture and they are known for there work.

He's doing more than a shift kit. You don't need to pull the trans to install one, just the pan. He's probably planning on freshening it up while adding the kit. Thats a good thing. The price doesn't seem bad either.

There are 2 reviews as you mentioned. I might have second thoughts on this guy. Do you know anyone that has used him. Word of mouth is better than on line reviews.

Ok I thought they were out of state ill contact them thanks i don't need my tranny rebuild I just want to upgrade it when I purchased the car I was told the tranny was rebuilt and I've only put maybe 150 miles on it in 2 years so I just want a shift kit installed and what ever else they think I need so it can hold some good power I have no power horse but I'm planning on it soon.

ummmm i was not too happy with CK's  work , but my trans does shift like a mofo. just not thrilled with the shift points and all he. drove it 170 miles up to him to fix it and it wasa bit better, but still not correct. but it will slam you into the back seat.(when  shifted manually) he did a complete trans and it cost me a bit over 2k

200's arent suposed to hit hard. firm and fast is the way they should be. thats one thing i gotta say about mine. theres times it shifts eratic. sometimes real real real short.. others a bit high. but after it happens once its good to go.

ck... they're in western suffolk. 9 out of 10 times when you bring a 200 to the normal trans shop you'll get the super hard neck snapping shift.. after that you'll get the fairing on the 1/2 shift then it'll get stuck in 2nd then slam 3rd. cant tell you what to do but its what i highly sugest.

Yeah I know but a shift kit isn't going to break my tranny unless it gets done by a shop that doesn't know how to mess with it.
