haa, ok. I checked earlier & the website linked here to the hotel says there is only one more room available at the quality inn for those 2 nights...single bed. I reaaally don't need the extra bed.

X2 but I booked at another hotel $50 cheaper and I'm only going for 1 day.I think we should get group discount if more then 10 rooms are booked since you guys always go to the same hotel every year.I think we should look into that for next year it could help everyone save some money.

I don't think there is any discount you just have to go on the link to there web site and book it but if you planning on going for only a day they won't book it its a minimum 2 days with them on a event weekend.

Don't go by the website.

I just called and here's the run down, they have about 25 rooms left. I told them I was with the NY Monte carlo club and they told me the special rate is 119.99. I am not sure which room that is for cause they asked if I wanted one king size or 2 queen sized rooms and I said either or.

Hope this helps,
Joe

Joe, do you know who you spoke to? I guess I need to call back. The woman I spoke to this morning said there there is no block of rooms reserved this year for NYMCC.

No idea what her name was.

I do know the front desk is always messed up with info. One year they said they had no rooms left, called back the next day they said they had plunty of rooms left.

Keep trying until you find someone who knows something lol

Frank, you need to ask for Sam. He is the owner. Nice guy and he is well aware of the NYMCC. I don't think Tommy blocked rooms this time but my guess is that Sam will extend the discount anyway because we stay there every year.

Yes, the block of rooms is under NYMCC.. I just called to check, and we are booked and the group rate is $119 for king size rooms.

I don't think we can miss this one.. but remember if you book & have to cancel, call at least 3 days before arrival.

I understand about speading the shows out.  They're going to have to start consulting with us before they set the dates of these shows....lol

Not crazy about the Sat show at Bing. If everyone was going to do the Sun show and leave on Mon I would be more interested. Don't think right now I would go if everyone is going to the Sat show and leave for home on Sunday.....

Carlisle is now participant judging.

NEW JUDGING FORMAT FOR 2013
Participant Based Selections to be Made

Showing your car and claiming at prize during GM weekend just became a lot easier. The 2013 edition of the GM Nationals will see a participant based judging format and if you register for the show, you can be a judge. As part of the judging process, special awards will be offered to cars of exceptional quality. In addition, both the Carlisle staff and onsite special guests will present awards too. Sharpen your pencils and grab a note pad. In 2013, your voice will count

i miss Binghamton as well
me and Karen have not actually talked mu about trips.
we'll be at SP.
we're also looking to take the kids to the Beach again for a few days so that would probably put Carlisle out for us.
other then i have no idea. plus i'll be sinking more money into my house redoing the deck and such. so money will become a big factor.

Last year I replaced Binghamton with Super Chevy, this year I am out for both. I am in for:

Watkins Glen in April (replacing the above)
Seapirate
Cecil
Carlisle
Ocean City
And either Croton Dam or Pumpkin run...I'd be in for both if they are on seperate days.

Next Year I plan on going to the Lake George in place of watkins glen, but thats a long ways off.

Joe

Lets put it this way.... We can have about 7 hours of fun with 2 office chairs and a couple of pillows. Add a 6 and 2 year old tackling each other and we have cheap entertainment for a weekend lol

yea.. lol.. yea out of us all the guy who gets pulled over has his family in the car how rude of the cop lol... i wonder if any of those other groups of sports cars ever had a laugh about it.... hey im getting new tires this spring.. will cost me like $1k for all 4 original brand/style tires (GOODYEAR EAGLE RS-A).... needing 18 inch..any suggestions.. i also dont drive it in winter i work as a landscaper so i just chill out in winter.. and my work is less than 5 miles down the road, so i dont put any mileage on car. got car like in march last yr and only drove between 3k-4k miles since.. i dont mind spending the cash to get the original version but $1k, i know i can find cheaper cause im sure the fact its a "goodyear" is why cost as much as it does.. i do use all 8 cylinders in my car thou so i do need traction and grip.. but i dont like driving in rain let alone snow in her and again i live only couple miles from work.... but i do again drive her fast on highways like 130 or more...lol i know there are just dry tires and ones good for dry and wet.. last yr at watkins my tires sucked in some corners with the wet track.. granted they where original tires which the car had at time 40k in mileage..

I've heard good things about Genral Gmax. I think they put those on the Grand Prix GTP, cheaper than Goodyears.

My guess is it would eliminate the complaints from the people who pre reg who couldn't get in. Their biggest problem was just the check in. If they could improve that portion everything would be fine.

Seriously??? That is going to be a disaster!!!! They should make it a pre reg only show. How do they plan to get 1000 cars through registration smoothly?? Might as well meet here, since that will be where line will end at 7AM that day
