Hey Everyone, Been seeing some chatting about a return to Binghamton this year. Figured I would start a thread to see whose interested.

 

I also was wondering if we could possibly change it up a bit. Maybe do it another weekend than Spiediefest. The car show is fine, but just doesn't have any classes for the majority of us. Besides the whole idea behind the get together was to get together. At the show, everyone seems to go their own way and we always seem to just regroup at the hotel.

 

What if we do it another weekend? In the past that weekend has been pretty busy, [I know Matt and I have been at Summit Racing that weekend and will be again this year] and we ended up getting together else where. 3 years ago we all went to Jim and Karen's, 2 years ago we went to Super Chevy Maplegrove, last year, just didn't happen.

 

I was Thinking of more of the lines of Orient point get together. The downstate and PA guys have a big BBQ and it always looks like a good time. We can go to the park for the BBQ and can still hit the cruise night afterwards, but it would get everyone together as a group.

It's up to everyone what their choice would be.

Last year at spiedie fest there were 17 classes(sunday) it was a decent size show!

You know I'm game for whatever its right in my back yard!

If you're lookin for ideas, every Saturday night there is a decent size cruise in in Vestal at the barnes and noble. And only a 15 min drive north there is a great park (Dorchester Park) plenty of parking for a group of cars, picnic tables. Great spot for pictures too. 043_zps9qtkbg1o.png

 There is a Campground at another park (Greenwood park) not far from Vestal.

The nearest decent hotels would be down in Vestal. a 10-15 min drive from the park. I believe yall used to go to the quality inn for spiedie?

Actually now that i think of it, there is a Hotel Keane stays at when he comes up to chill in apalachin ny, the Comfort Inn. It's 5 min from my place and a good price/great hotel plus still only a 15 min drive to that campground

If I did the Bing it would have to be the Sunday show and come home on Monday...... It is near the bottom of my "want to do shows".

 Long way to go  for just a cruise night.  I'm out.  Plus it's the weekend after Maple Gove.  I'd rather go to Maple Grove weather permitting.

Yeah, I know I'm late to the party but I would like to remind everyone that our discussion on returning to Speidie centered around hitting the show on Sunday and returning Monday.
We're in this year, but again only for the Sunday event, But nothing says that we can not go up early and check it out on Saturday as well.

I agree but didn't bring it up as it seems that they are not interested in the show at all unless I misinterpreted that.  If everyone would be going to Speidie Fest Sunday show I "Might" be interested. Spiedie fest is two weeks after Maple Grove and I defiantly want to go to Maple Grove.  Love the venue there.  Again, spiedie fest is not at the top of my list.....

If people want to do Speidiefest, That's fine, I won't be around that weekend. No big deal, I will see most people through out the year anyways.
