Matt, Here's a quick run down...Back in 2001, 2002,2003 ish (Before my time with the club) there was the NYMCC, NJMCC,PAMCC each with a decent following...they had BBQ's, seapirate, Ocean City...and one they, they all sat down and decided to create a big event called Monte Madness and found a place called Kahunaville in Delaware...The first year was 2004, Montes came from up and down the east coast...(I Missed this one) I think 150-200 Montes (all generations) showed up... It was redone in 2005/2006 with varying numbers (between 100-150 Montes each year)
Unfortunately some of the original people who put it together droped out for varying reasons...some sold there cars, yada, yada...but then the place Kahunaville caught fire and burned down...so no real place to hold it.
We tried replacing it with Montes @ the diamond, but the weekend of the event was a rain out we still had about 50-100 montes show up, but then the park closed down.
So now we have varying shows like Seapirate (Had about 75 montes show up last year), GM Nationals (About 75 Montes showed last year), and Binghamtion, and Ocean City.
thanks for the history lesson Joe. It would be nice to have a big get together like that. I enjoyed Binghamton last year and hopefully we will make it to Sea Pirate some time. When is Binghamton this year? I know its very early but I want to write it down on my NYMCC calendar. :)

That red LS1 Monte is one of my all time favorites. That car was very nicely done. Never seen it anywhere but at Kahuna. That car I would love to buy......
I made 05 and met Tommy for the first time, The famous Tony Macho Man, ssninja, a bunch of other clowns from maryland like Sarge Bort etc....Good memories, and Kahunaville was cool.....my Wolfgang's first public appearance lmao Anyone remmber seeing a 30 pound black puppy walking around the show?
Me too Tony.. LOL I have the last one in a plastic bag.. Thanks for the post Joe, and the memories, I do miss those days, we had lots of fun. BUT we have MORE fun now with this group!!! BETTER TIMES ARE YET TO COME!!
