good morning all
another nice day out today but it'll be a bit hotter.
took the car cruising yesterday and last night it was so nice out.the car was running great.2 guys in a escalade pulled up next to me and told me i had a nice car and then there was a older guy sitting on his front porch and he gives me a big thumbs up went by his house.then we all went for a ride even our dog Brooke and we went for water ice.it was nice being out but then i realized i lost my id card to get into work and was like rut ro i'm in trouble but i was told it's no biggie they'll just charge you a few dollars for a new one.
oh well time for work sorry to ramble on

See this is the way I look at it...

when I went to Michigan, I got a speeding ticket on the highway...then I went around the race track at MiS and never came close to the 70MPH limit enforced...really hit between 50-65MPH....cars were coming up behind me thats how bad it was...

Point of the story? It's no fun when I'm allowed to do it! So Postwhoring and going off topic, in a thread that's set up where we are aloud to, just isn't as fun, as in topics that we shouldn't be doing it in!

So I'm slightly frustrated. had a little rust spot on the '01, and get it fixed, problem is I can't get the correct paint for it. I've been looking for the past month. Dealer says it's on back order or discontinued (find that hard to believe since it was one of GM's most popular colors, but then again this is GM) Duplicolor makes it, but none of the parts stores stock it, and they can't order it for me, and a paint shop wants $45 for them to make a can up for me At that price I may as well have a body shop spray it them self. Which reminds me, Dave ask Matt if he might be able to hook me up and get me a price for him to spray it. At least as an option. Augh.... I haven't tried the internet yet or calling Duplicolor directly to see if they can help me out. MAybe I'll see if they can help me

Tim are you looking for a small spray can?if so give me your vin so i can get the paint code and part number and i'll have someone at my old work run a locator for it and give you the info of any dealers that have it for you.

Tim, during the GM chapter 11, we could not order paint. That is not the case now. There's no reason a dealer by you can'y order the spay paint. Let me know if I can help. Problem is shipping paint though.

well last month I went to the dealer and got the same story. went to a different one today, and at least they were willing to take my info, but who knows how it will end up. they gave me the same line that they and no one in the area has it, but today they said that GM is discontinuing some of the colors. I wouldn't think they would stop making this color, but who knows

ok, not I'm really confused. First off, Thanks Jim for helping out with getting me the list of dealers in the area.

now my confussion/problem. I called the first 3 on the list, and none of them have it and all stated that they don't carry spray paint what gives.

yeah I did Jim, and they speciffically said they don't carry spray paint. I was like WTF. I finally got some help at Troutmans chevy in Millersburg who would order it send it to me if she got it, but I'm thinking if everyone is having problems I doubt she's actually gonna get it
