Well, I ended the week like it started! Thought it was going to be a light day, only 2 vehicles showed up, then all hell broke loose! Couldn't get the right parts, a Sprinter van got towed in with a wheel off [Thank God I haven't touched the wheels in over 13,000 miles!]. Had to install a new front differential in a plow truck, While the guy waited mind you! Then one of the idiots was driving the Shuttle truck and cut someone off while texting and driving. Gee, Ya think you would have been a bit more careful since your practically driving a bill board? Glad they called the shop, maybe this dillweed will get fired on Monday!
Oh and I'm on call this weekend!

Left work at 5, went and shovel my gram's driveway, We got about 4" of snow, then stopped at my parents to watch the plow guy just miss my truck! Yeah, I almost had to kill this guy. Then came home snowblowed the driveway and spent 2 more hours tearing the dash apart on My wife's jeep to get the blend door in the heat position. Something is causing it to move to heat and then back to cold. At that point I was loosing feeling in my fingers so I just locked it in the hot position. I'll figure out what's causing it on Sunday when were back in the 40's.

Jim, I have been looking, but no one will pay the same, I can't afford a $7. an hour pay cut.

Sevice writer returned today, By 10 I wanted to choke him. I couldn't enjoy my lunch because he kept asking me questions, which got me second guessing my diagnosis on a truck.

And after the Bullcrap games this state is pulling with the guns and ammo, I think I might move out by you.

Got to work tomorrow myself Frank. Got Sunday off, but I have to work Monday.

Have a new guy starting Monday, Hopefully this guy will work out. I won't know for a while, I have to replace a waterpump in a C4500 with a 6.6L Duramax. Pays 9 hours and I have never done one, so I will be busy swearing and throwing things for a few days. Hopefully it will get fixed in the 9 hours.

well Dave how did the water pump go?

i was busy all weekend helping friends.
installed 6 recessed lights in a friends living room fro him. hadto run all the wires and add a 3rd switch in the wall for them.

then sunday i helped a friend frame up the upstairs of his barn to make a wreck room. built a loft and a removable wall from around the stairwell. this way hecan get big things up and down the stairs. so now he has a 82" x 82" wall that hinges opens to gain access.
so now it's back to work to relax...lol

ahhhh, day off. Building doors for the shed and testing the generator interlock day. With some luck I won't burn the house down.

Jim, it actually went better than I thought. Took me just over 5.5 hours. Would have been under 5 if I didn't cut the O-ring seal on the T-stat bypass tube. Installing that was the hardest part, it was even harder with the front clip, the fan shroud and turbo tubes in the way the second time. Not that I want to do another one, but it really wasn't all that bad.

New guy started, somehow I don't think he'll make 6 months, he spends way too much time on things and then likes to talk alot. We'll see, it was only his first day

yes i was busy and will be for quite a few weekends. got a big building project in the planning stages at home and also help work on my friends barn and other stuff.

Yeah, My A$$ is fine, my back, well thats another story, LOL!

I actualy had to tell him today to get away from me. I have 3 vehicles torn apart, the top end of a Sprinter van, the rear end of a E-350 bus and the gas tank out of an accord, which believe it or not, includes the rear suspension. I did not have anytime to talk. Not that I talk at work anyways. LOL!

Today he took the entire morning to do a rear disc brake job on a 09 Jeep Liberty and a rear disc brake job on a F150. After Lunch he did one inspection and then tried to find a misfire in the F150. At 4 he got a little pissy about having to check a no start in a chevy truck. I give him 4 months, he already pissed off the sevice writer, which I think is funny, LOL!

Yeah he made his first fatal mistake today, He said he is not used to such a fast paced shop. I'm like WTF?? What will he do when were busy??

He spent 4 hours putting a fuel pump in a Chevy truck today! I don't think he will last that long either, but maybe he'll pick up some speed as he gets comfortable there. Yeah right, LOL!

it's my Friday....
get to sit around and wait for lowes to deliver my lumber tomorrow. need to also get the new smoker i bought together and fire it up to burn off the oils and all before i put meat in it.
then hopefully saturday we will load it with meat and see what happens.

What are you building Jim? Good luck with the new smoker, you'll love it. I use mine year round and plan to fire it up Saturday for some baby backs.
Looks like we are getting up to another foot of snow on Sunday.

Man! I have been watching some of the best and worst racing this week!! I sure hope Todays race isn't boring like the truck race Friday night, but not as disasterous as yesterdays Nationwide race!

I still can't believe the front half of a car made it through the catch fence! I hope those fans are going to be OK.

I think between You , Matt and Mysellf, we could have stripped it and stuffed it into our pockets and Jackets in about 4 minutes. We have been preparing ourselves for that for what 4 years now??

Actually, It was a Ford motor, so I think I'd rather take home some of the other parts, like the tires, the suspension and sheet metal.

Seriously though. It showed that the design of these new cars really have made the sport alot safer for the drivers. Now they need to look at what will make it safer for the fans. The catch fence did what it was supposed to do, kept the car out of the stands. And it did keep the motor from going too far as well, but seeing as the left front tire, strut and steering knuckle went over the top of the fence, it would be hard to stop that.

I guess it was. After that wreck, I couldn't tell what it was. Plus he was running Toyota in the Whelen Pro stock's last year and Ford in the truck series last year. So you never know what he has.

Jim, yeah, I was kind of suprised myself it took a whole week. I caught hell the yesterday morning. I got the "you can't shoot everyone you don't like" speech again. He still hasn't said more than 2 words to me since. WINNING!!!! LOL!

Tim, He might have, I don't know, I spent half that day under a Sprinter Van, so I didn't see what anyone was doing.

When I click on the last post made by someone in the On and On and On thread it always takes me to the first page. Does it do that for everyone.

Yes I can do it that way but that is not how all the other topics work. You just click on the time the last person posted and it takes you to the last post on the last page..... Even if I click on page 50 it still takes me to the first page. This is the only topic that this happens....

Well my trailer is back in Lansdale, Pa for some upgrades and some warranty work. When I go pick it up I'm going over to the Squizz's for free food and beer.....

Atlantic City Car show and auction was pretty good today. Can't believe what some are asking for there cars in the cars for sale section. Gonna be a lot of disappointed sellers I think. Did see an 87 Aero with 17k on the odom. Don't know what it got bid to but will find out eventually.

speaking of trailers, MA now wants $160 per year for registration. Just a couple years ago it was $50. Last year I turned in the vanity plates on both cars as they increased the annual renewal to $80 each.

My trailer reg is $30 something. My vanity plates are a ONE time fee of $50 for life. Yearly registration is the same as regularly issued plates....

well had to fix the damn brake line on the Hoe again. looks like the new line had a stress crack or something in it. we jut did it 2 months ago.nothing like driving almost 90 miles with pumping the brakes and using the e-brake and such to make for a fun drive. need to bleed the brakes tonight and hopefully get it out of the garage.
