I'm a mechanical engineer. I work at a consulting firm in the facilities department. My technical title, although it doesn't quite say it on my business card, is Project Manager, in which I manage the Wegmans (Supermarket chain) account that we have. I'm also the lead Refrigeration engineer in the company. I have my EIT certificate and hopefully will get my PE licence soon.
and like most engineers, I just borred you to death...

Thats the key Ang, you need to love your job. I'm fortunate enough to be able to wrap up my occupation, my hobby and as Diana says, My obsession into 1. I love working on cars, I hate management. I tried it, but was not for me. Maybe in 10 years when I can't turn wrenches anymore, I'll give it another shot.

I've worked for a custom drapery workroom for 11 years today! I'm the Asst. to the CEO/Pres and HR Manager (Owners/Husband and wife)...I don't have a title but my dept is called Shared Support - that means anyone (production/production office/main office) that needs help I step in and get the job done...so I'm busy even when production is slow. I love my job and what I do!

I say it to myself....but then I find people who make more then me, and either do less, or get involved and messed things up more then if they didn't do anything, and realize I should be making as much as them....lol...
