Chrome molding removal
Permalink Closed

I can't believe i found a 86 Monte LS in a junk yard in my areadisbelief, but it has the chrome molding still on the back window. How do i remove that without damaging it? My 86 CL has the 1/4 top and needs replaced but i  really don't like it and don't want to spend 2 to 4 hundred for a new one. also are the side quarter windows going to need changed?and get this, the interior is all there and the same colorbiggrin. I'm going to strip that sucker this weekendfurious thanks Luke

Find a tool like THIS and slip under the chrome moulding at each clip. Rock it gently until the clip releases.  Repeat at each clip and the piece will pop off!

small screwdriver to pry off the side ones and top ones only need to bust like one clip then you can slide it off the rest of them . a nice used set is about 40 bucks in chrome
