Congrats NY you played a hell of a season and came out no 1 and yes this is coming from a Mets fan but you know nomatter what you have to go with your hometown
sometimes i dont understand others out look on things look at this same post on mcss.com
they say yankees suck . next year the team they like will be in . well this year it was the yankees times they were the best team so bow your head and just say good luck yankees or say nothing or is it just me hey if philly won then the better of the 2 last teams standing won. i would say hats off to philly. hell i am a mets fan and i give them props
Here's my take on it. I'm not an advid baseball fan, more of a casual fan. but I will say this.... I HATE the Yankees. Reason being, they spend sooooo much money on their roster that it makes it difficult to compete. They don't have a farm team, unless you say a farm team is just used as trade bait to bring in their superstarts. How can you love a player when the next year they are gone? I love seeing players drafted, move up thru the ranks and become the players that they become. I don't like seeing a team made up of superstars just for one year or so. With that being said, is it really congrats to the Yankees, or more, it should be no surprise that they won. here is the 2009 baseball roster. And maybe i should be more anti Baseball for not having a salary cap but instead i'm just anti yankee

Well you can buy a team in MLB and all other sports. That is why I have lost interest in all PRO sports. It is all about the cash. You can no longer associate any player to a specific team. I thought Brett Favre was going to be one of those players but NOPE. They all make TOO much money. What is up with PRO Basketball!! How come a PRO player can't make a foul shot most of the time. It is shot from the same spot EVERY time!!! I wish I could make MILLIONS of dollars a year to maybe make a foul shot. I bet I would be FIRED if I did my job right 50% of the time!!! Thats all I got to say about that!!
Congrats to the Yankees. They had a good season with a lot of exciting come from behind wins. I would love to be at the parade tommorrow. Comgrats to a very good Yankee Team.
Saw your post on MCSS, Tony. What has happened to that board??? No moderator found that one post offensive? There's a lot of crude posters there now.

if you go to the track and get spanked by a guy with a better motor then you. do you cry he had more to spend? look at team ttwos spend my team the mets. ok they are not good but spent 2nd most on players.
but Tony that is a huge dollar difference wouldn't you say.i personaly don't realy care but i do see everones point.compairing spending money on motors doesn't realy count because you can build a damn good motor on a budget that will run awsome.
oh this is getting to much like politics and i realy hate politics so i'm done..lol

I Live my life in such a way that when my feet hit the floor in the morning...Satan shudders & says "Oh shit, he's awake!"
i wonder if they'll BUY the world series again next year...lmao
that should get some feathers ruffled....lol
any way congrats. hey you know if they yankess have all of that money why don't they fix your damn NY roads with some of it...lol
ok i'm done for NOW.
or pay for your tickets when you visit NY lol... sorry Jim.
It's one thing to spend a lot of money for a team, and yes it's perfectly legal... but when you spend almost twice as much as the number 2 spending team, it becomes a little sickning.
Hey if anyone offered us that kind of money to play a game, I don't think anyone would say..."NO I LOVE THE GAME TOO MUCH TO ACCEPT THAT KIND OF MONEY" LOL. Good for them for having a successful franchise. As long as they are making the money, they can pay the players. And the fans will keep buying official gear and tickets...
What do our roads have to do with The NY Yankees winning the World Series!!!! LOL GEEEZZZ you can't get a good piece of Pizza or a real bagel in PA, do you hear us complaining about it!! LOL
Joe (Termite) LMAO with that picture.
Joe (you know who you are), you crazy man!!! And going to the parade when you should be working!! LOL
A few things when you go to a parade to consider...first this was absolutely the most chaotic with the most people ever...
So given that fact...
1.) Don't take your babystrollers, especially down broadway, if you have infants...stay home....
2.) It is a ticker tape parade, so when they throw papers out the window don't be all surprised...yes a few people yelled out "OMG there throwing paper out of the windows"
3.) Yelling Excuse me in a crowd of 1,000's doesn't help...
4.) Pick a spot and your stuck there till the end...don't expect to move around or walk up and down the streets...it's practically like a riot...
5.) Your gunna get Pushed, Proded, shuved, and pretty much violated by thousands of people around you...Both female and male..Don't like it...stay home...THIS IS NEW YORK!!!!
6.) When your with a friend whos' shorter then you and she says "Hey that this little girl passing just jammed her elbow into my ribs" you only have a split second to realize where your gunna get jabbed...OOOO for me!!!!!
7.) When your only 4 tall feet skinny lil white girl and your TOTALLY drunk at 11AM....don't go picking fights with a large group of males/females from the Bronx....you won't win, no matter how invincible you think you are..
8.) If your a worker looking to get to work, take an alternate route....going up broad way with thousands of fans, isn't good if your wearing high heals, or a suit, or a briefcase, or your just a grumpy worker...
9.) Your on your own....regardless if there are 1,000's of cops and people around, no one can help...so if your a scared female, yelling "I Can't take it, I just wanna get outta get!!!" And you start to cry...literally break down in tears....Suck it up and be patient to get to the next block and hope you can make it to the side street...if not...you will just be used as a steping stool for better pics...
10.) It doesn't matter how crazy you think you are...there is someone crazier at this parade...I assure you...
Keep those simple rules in mind, and I'm sure you'll have a blast!!! Pics to be posted soon...

The problem is not the Yankees spending money it is the other team's not spending any money on their teams. Sure you can say that they have spent over 200 mil. on this team. But nobody looks at all of the luxury that the angles, mets, redsox, Yankees, and so on pay every year. All of so called small market teams that get all of this money just pocket it and don't spend it on signing free agents to make their team better. Instead the owners put in the bank and buy new home and cars and so on. So baseball does not need a salary cap they need to make the teams that get the luxury tax spend it on their team. Also the Yankees do not always trade away all of their young talent or we would have Roy holladay as one of ours starters because the jays wanted joba and phill huges plus one more from the farm system that people say we don't have. Plus you might as well spent it when you are alive. Have you ever seen a u-haul behind a hearse.
