well, 1018 miles in 48 hours, no dash lights, just over 40 gallons of fuel, $45. in tolls and $87. in food, But we made it to Long Island for one heck of a weekend that Matt and I will never forget!
The ride down was pretty uneventful, one little hic-up with the GPS.but the scenes from the Bridge were sweet!

all I can say is NY City is a nice place to visit, But I sure wouldn't want to live there! We had a blast! Thank you to Tommy, Angela, Jay and Marilyn for setting the whole weekend up. Can't wait till 2011 when we can return!

As for the streets, I remember a long time ago, a tourist stopped me and asked "Is this wall Street?" (Downtown) and I was like yeah ( we were on wall street) he was like "world famous wall street paved in gold?" I was like " Well this is wall street, but it sure ain't paved in gold!"
Now you guys know why I Don't drive to work everyday...
As for the traffic...ya think that's bad? Remember you went on Sunday Morning, try going during the week during rush hour! HA!!!!
Great pics! That was a nice trip. Traffic wasn't bad.... except in one spot where 2 cars were blocking 7th Ave by double parking. Must have been out-of-towners!!!!

we weren't doing anything worse that what a cop was doing....and becides, when the taxi came along, they were triple parked lol
