So as the snow falls and the salt flies onto the roads I settle the Monte into the garage for the winter. I had it out a few days ago before the bitter cold and it was a nice final cruise.
So as I do every winter I have a list of things to do to the SS. (I don't want to look at previous years lists to see what I never got done.)
So this winter I plan to:
Replace my slowly dying 2004-R with a high performance unit. Rebuild my sloppy front end with quality parts. Upgrade my sway bars, end links etc... Finally delve into my interior and get started on replacing um....everything.
So those are my plans. Money will dictate how far I actually get.
My sole goal for my Monte is to get the Transmission issues worked out...enough that I have confidence to take it on minimum trips like Li and Seapirate and Carlisle....hopefully after this next trip to ecs, that gets everything worked out...and if all goes well the big test would be Ocean City later in the year...for now back to baby steps...
As for the GTO full suspension upgrades: January: Purchase Full Bushings kit Feburary: Purchase Hotchkis Sway Bars March: Full Peddlers Street 2 kit and have all of the above install By Rocks&Racing
If the above goes well on both, then full dyno tunes for both (possibly by Kaltech) in April, and thats it for the year...
Hmmmmm I plan on giving her a kiss every now and then LOL. My real plans lie with my GTO. Time to hang some 1/4s on and fix that trunk area.......Doc, time to open up that hideout you stashed that NVA bullion you stole, which the A-Team got blamed for!!!!
I hope that nothing needs done to the "07". I am going to take the motor and trans out of the "71" starting next week. Then I am going to do the repair to the fenders then take the interior out and clean up any rust that may be underneeth the carpet.
Well, All I want to do is get new tires and maybe a MSD box for the 86. And some updates on the 01. Mostly want to get my truck fixed up. But Like Rich said, it's all depending on cash flow.
Oh and it all depends on what Matt decides he wants to do to the 84

For the monte. First is to get the my buddies honda fixxed an out of my garage so the monte can get in there. second is to put new floor pans on the pass side. Third is a new carpet. fourth is some sticky tires. fifth is the suspenion.
For the cavi. First pull the motor an bore it out, new rods and pistons, head work, and turbo cams. Second redo the exhaust from down pipe back. Third intercooler an piping. Fourth tuning. Fifth new springs an struts, an motor mounts.
All depends on what money is left after getting a new truck.

i was going to get a 200r4 for the car but i think i'd rather have the garage drywalled and the siding done on the outside. so i realy don't plan on doing anything to it other then putting fuel in it and that costs enough..lol plus right now it's another storage unit all of the kids gifts are locked in the trunk..lol

Well we will see how good I've been thie year at xmas, but so far I've got a new headliner and power window switch to install. and maybe take a look at some of the nagging issues I have (Manifold leak, power locks, cig lighter)
just get to look at it in the garage for the next 3 months.
Same here ... except I don't have to see mine, if I don't want to. They're out in a heated garage just west of town. I usually go out once a month or so.
I'm just glad I finally have a winter beater to keep the '87 MC LS/CL from the winter weather!
I have no plans. I need to wax my Jeffy car, it is in the garage for the winter, so when I want to get the woodstove going, I will go out and do it.
In the spring before I take him out, it needs new rotors, I have been putting this off and I have a new set of tires to put on it.

Donna, I installed a set of Summit Slotted and drilled Rotors on the 01 along with the Hawk brake pads, front and rear. It was actually less expensive than OEM style from Advance and they stop so much better!

Thanks, I will look into them and let hubby know, he is my mechanic after all. Even though he whines about it. LOL
