ok guys, i'm having an issue on my '01 driver powerwindow.
The window goes down fine but is having issues going up. It is almost as if it's sticking towards the front part of the door (near the mirror). The only way i can get it back up is to readjust the window. I took the door apart this morning and everything seems to be there, no broken parts in the door. I thought I was missing a bolt on the window arm but they didn't help. Now I'm thinking that it may be the actuator??? below is some pics and a video, hopefully it helps in figuring out what is wrong.
this is the front of the actuator, there isn't suppose to be any cables that come out is there?
and here is a video

Tim, Something is wrong at the front. almost like the widow regualtor cable is frayed and binding.
What you need to do, is separate the window glass from the regulator. there are 2 clamps, 10 MM bolts, look at the first pics, loosen them and raise the window. Unbolt and remove the regualtor, see is the window will slide up and down the track easily and not bind. If it does, replace the regulator. if not, the track is damaged someplace.
you really need to move closer to me so i can help, LOL!

ok, let me ask you this. I can adjust the window with the bolts in. I don;t know how much play is naturally there. I'll see if I can do what you said later, but my guess is nothing is binding up front. What are you doing tomorrow? if you aren't doing anything maybe I'll swing up.
big thanks to Dave to help me out. ended up being a cobination of things. I was somehow missing two bolts, one for the arm that holds the window and one on the track. I the front track was bound up and a gasket was tucked in the track, possibly from a driver that nicked my side mirror, and I think all that caused the regulator to start going. So about two hours later, tons of laughs and a snow storm later, it finially worked. And it took a while, but I think my car if finially scared of Dave, just like his cars. Cause the radio was displaying an ERROR message and 5 min later the radio started working again when Dave came over to the car to talked to me lol!!!!
No problem Tim, Glad we got it fixed. And I think you have finally flipped! Who drives from Rochester to Amherst to get their car fixed by driving to Niagara Falls to get the part? LOL!
And Jim! We love those Jokes that the Dormann Regulators come with, LOL! "Drill Here" Tim, "WTF???" 'you ain't drilling my door!" LOL!
And we can't forget our versions of Monster Jam and Extreme Winter Basketball! LMAO!!
