ok guys  lets see some pics of before and after shots of your car's

here's mine in 2006 when i bought it for $550.00

spray painted it

different hood and wheels

then new motor and all.

here it is all spray painted with on the boardwalk in Wildwood,NJ

then it was time for a new hood and paint finally (date is wrong on the pics)

then after painting i decide to redo the interior fron the ugly blue

to the much better looking maroon

and this is what she looks like after all that.

Lots of work there Jim, well done!

My turn, not quite as much to show, but I will reply three times, once for each Monte:
First up, my 85 SS

As I got it (shipped from CA) in 2003, bone stock except for the Ultra wheels

Then an engine/tranny swap (ZZ4 and CK stage 2 200r4) and added the Hotchkis TVS suspension setup and a harwood hood and new exhaust system (thanks Tommy!):

Engine changed looks a few times, here is how it sits now including a custom built and tuned Q Jet:

Then I added the B&M Megashifter, only interior change:

Finally, brake upgrades and ZQ8 wheels and 245-16 tires all around:

Next up, my 2001 SS
As I bought it brand new in 2001:

Original fabric interior:

Within 6 months I tore into the engine for numerous upgrades, new Borla exhaust, then added Razzi kit, MM2 17 wheels, brake upgrades, GMPP suspension, MPD hood, Nascar spoiler, custom ghost stripe paint and swapped in a leather interior from a 2002 so after a period of about 14 months it sits as it is today:

And in the first two pics you see my poor old 1985 K20 pickup, thing was a beast!!! Nearly 300k miles on that sucker, towing, plowing and general abuse. Never an issue, it simply rotted away!! Was still running perfect when I got rid of it in 2002.....man I miss that old truck!

And last but not least, Gabi's 86 SS
It had the original alloy wheels, but I can't find those pictures......so I start with it cleaned up and my old Ultras and Firehawks on it:

No pictures under the hood as we got, but I can assure it was UGLY!!!

Only thing so far was a new (stock) style exhaust system and swapping in this motor and serp setup:

The old

The new

It is all back together under there, but I haven't taken any pics of everything hooked up and assembled under there yet. I will get things up to date in the spring
Stay tuned........

Ok, I purchased the 86 SS on April 4th 1990.Seeing as I didn't own a digital camera until the mid 90's, this is all I can locate.

When we bought our house in 1996. the car was just out of the paint shop 6 months prior

The custom Decals I had made.

Built the Motor in 2000

Lowered it in 2001

Installed a new 4" Cowl Hood and rad cowl plates at the end of 2008

and the way she looks today

As for the 01 SS, She was purchased April 11th, 2007

First Mods were the Dale Earnhardt head rests

And a serious Wax job!

Installed a Strut tower brace in the front from a Eagle Talon with some minor modifications, but never took any pics

Finally, I Upgraded the brakes in 09

and as she looks today, Minus the snow, LOL!

And as for Matt's car, There is a whole thread on it! LOL!

this May will be 4 years since i bought my car.

in that time i've put 2 engines in her
1 trans
3 rears
2 hoods
3 sets of wheels and tires
changed the complete interior from blue to maroon adding a floor shift and custom gage work
changed the whole rear suspension out
changed the front suspension to the SS stuff except the springs
painted it twice (well sort of)
repaired the floor pans
added all of the LS chrome
changed the doors and put new GM hinges on
changed the rear bumper
tinted the windows
added dynamat to the floor

bought 2 other parts cars to help make this one in the end it was all worth it.smile

I'm too lazy to go back and dig out all the pics, so I'll give you a link to a slide show I made a while back. I have since added 16" GM ZQ8 wheels with Firestone Indy 500 tires and coated Headman headers. It was a slow resto, but MD and I have had a blast cruisin in it. We're both pretty proud of the way it turned out. Is it done? ... are they ever done? ...MD, how about that new cam and  Edelbrock intake manafold??? wink
