Um, ya know, ya'll could make a road trip to IL ... we have junk yards, too.....lol.
NICE report as usual, Dave! Odd to see so many LeCars ... are any still on the road? Though, I do have a matchbox version somewhere around here...lol.
Along with that Cutlass wagon, I spotted a few cars that seemed odd to be there ... that white Cutlass for one. Yeah, rough, but looks to have many good parts on it yet....
As for the MCs... ...too much gone on the first gen to tell what year (well, at least, for me). ...the brown and blue 2nd gens are both 1974 models, from what I can see. ...the maroon 3rd gen is a 1980. ...not sure about the 4th gen years either....
And ... finally ... wow ... the stuff you find is amazing. Kinda makes you wonder why some of that stuff was left behind.....

Cort, Someday! You know I want to make it out there to one of your monte cruises. We were just fortunate that the Squizz's allowed us to stay at their place.
2 of the 3 first gens were '70's and the 3rd was a '72 Both second gens were 74, my favorite 2nd gen! the 3rd was an 80 and there was a 78 there as well, but the pictures came out too blurry to use the 4th gen was an 82 acording to the door jamb, But the door didn't match the rst of the car too well, so it was hard to say.
as for the stuff, Hard to say, but we have more fun with that than anything! LOL!
Jim, the weather was perfect!! And hotel squizz will be featured in the Tim and Dave show in a few days

Hey Dave,
Yep ... I know you do! It'd be great to have you out here for a visit!
The 1st gen that was a '72 ... did it still have the hood spear, by chance?
On the '82 4th gen ... was the grill still intact? If so ... '82 MCs are EASY to spot by the grill, as are '81 MCs. The '81 MCs do NOT have "Monte Carlo" in the grill:
The '82 grill is similar, except ... it HAS the "Monte Carlo" nameplate ... and the grill features the horizontal bars; the vertical ones that make the "Cross hatch" look in the '81 MC are gone for '82 (presumably to allow for the nameplate to be added)....
BTW ... that Caprice ... looks like it could be fixed up and run, unless it has underlying problems that weren't evident in that pic..... The body of that one looks to be in a bit better shape than my Caprice....but not by much ;).
The spear was damaged Cort, otherwise I would have grabbed it, even if I put it in my collection, Right alongside my 1995 Monte Carlo owners cassette, LOL!
Don't remember the grilles, they might have been damaged and that caprice, Who knows? It might have been a cash for Clunkers car for all I know
