So i replaced the starter and to alternator and now I'm throwing a code 23: Mixture Control Solenoid - Open circuit or short to ground in the mixture control circuit; defective MCS; defective ECM - if the MCS is shorted to ground, the CEM may have been damaged.
now I know I relocated one ground which was on the alternator bracked that bolts to the block, does any one know off hand if thats the MCS ground? (I haven;t traced the wires). Anyone know how to test/check the MCS???
Edit: the car is running the same as before, but it does feel like it stalls when I stop the car and it drops from 1000 rpm to 500. IT also feels slugish off the line, but thats has been like that for a while now, dont; know if it's related.

Tim, that code bascially states the computer is seeing a steady voltage at terminal #18, rather than a pulsed voltage from the solenoid. Does the Mixture control Solenoid click when the key is on/engine off? Check and make sure it's plugged in [top of carb]
According to the schematic I have here, The Ground side of the ECM is the ECM itself, the Power side comes from the ECM IGN fuse, Make sure that fuse didn't just blow. And that green connector that goes to nowhere, make sure that isn't grounded.
I hope it isn't the computer again. But then again it should still be under warranty

i think i fixed it... the wire/ground that I had to relocate was the cuplrate. I just sanded the area to get a better ground, and so far so good. I still don't understand it all, but what ever lmao
well the issue is back, and the voltage (meter) is down. goes just above the red and up to 13. Just tried checking the ground and that didn;t fix it this time. i'm still thinking it could still be the wire, but i need to follow it back. Anyone have any other thoughts?
