I'm copying and paisting this for Houlie, it's a good cause and even the littlest donation goes along way!

"Ok guys...Here it is

I'm not usually the type of person who will approach someone with a hand out looking for money. I was brought up to be self-sufficient when it comes to saving up for and paying for things. But there comes a time when I understand that I need to be a "bigger" man and ask for some help...

On Sept 12 this year, I will be participating in the Jimmy Fund Cancer Marathon. Its a charity event that I'm going to walk the route of the Boston Marathon (26.5 miles) for the Jimmy Fund/Dana Farber Cancer Hospital. I do alot of charity fund raising for this cause, contributing out of my own pocket, or volunteering time for any function associated with this...

This event will be more special for me. I am doing the walk for my Mother. Some of you know that she had her cancer come back after a 4 year remission to now be stage 4 variety that has attached itself to the lining of her liver and her stomach. The Dr's at the Dana-Faber Clinic have been excellent with her care, she is currently in the middle of her 8 session Chemo treatment. During trips that I have made with her to the hospital, I've seen kids....and by kids I mean 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 years old and up, going thru the same treatments that she is doing, and it amazes me.....truely amazes me how they keep their spirits up all the while...

The past two days out here, one of the local sports radio stations, along with the local TV sports station are doing their yearly telethon. You listen to and watch the heartfelt stories, some inspirational and others so tragic, it makes you want first appreciate what you have, and second it makes you feel the urge to do something, so this is where I am

I am asking you guys, if you're able to help me out, by making a donation to this event. I will post my link to my "homepage" for the walk, and if you could give whatever you can (even a dollar would mean alot), I would be greatful. Now I know some on here could care less about me or my family situation, to those I ask you to at least donate to/for someone else...Everyone on here knows someone who has cancer. Even one of our members, David Denn, is fighting this battle...I will be walking for him as well...Please help if you can, and I appreciate it to those who can
