GOOD PERFORMANCE AND SOUNDING MUFFLER ?
Permalink Closed

Looking for a new exhaust setup,

Whats a good sounding and flowing muffler?

Local shop is doing the pipes.

So I am just looking for a set of mufflers.

Thanks

John,
How loud to you want it?
You running tails?

Hooker Aero chambers might be a good choice for you.

The hookers sound good, If I could fit them in my car they would be there.
There longer then flowmasters by 3", well that 3" I needed because of a crossmember/loop bar thats welded between the frame rails.

They are also 1/2 the price of Flow Masters from what I remember.

I have been doing some research on X pipes

All the articles I read claim they make more power and torque.

But the numbers only show approx a 10 HP gain.

So is it worth it for 10 HP?

I am not concerned with the "sound" the X pipe creates at all

Both
Its a complete S/S muffler.

As for the X-H pipe.

With your engine I would only add a X pipe.
I even have a 3" one here if you need it.

If you do do a X pipe, I would suggest putting 3" collector flanges on all ends of the X pipe and mating pipes.
If you need to pull the drive shaft at any time down the line, you just drop the X pipe and it will drop right out.
No need to drop the whole exhaust to get it out.

I have a 3" X pipe(Flotech) and all the flanges gaskets you would need John.

If you go this route give me a call.
