I measured my pushrod with a ruler and came up with 7 3/4" .. the cam i wanna get calls for a 7.8" rod.. is this the same?? The cam i have called for a 7.76" but i have 1.6 rockers?? Can i get the cam i want without changing the pushrods??? My current cam is a Crane energizer 500 lift 246 duration Hy. and the one i'm look in at is a Comps 501-510 solid..

its possible the pushrod you measured is actually 7.76" because with a ruler you cant get an accurate enough measurement. 7 3/4" = 7.75" and you will never be able to see the .01" difference with a ruler.

The pushrod called for is .04" longer or 1/25". I dont know much about motors, but with the tight tolerances called for in engine building, I think that will make a definate difference.

I'm trying to figure out the best way to go.. either change the manifold from an Edlebrock RPM air gap to a Weiand team G or swap cams to match the air gap bc my cam makes power from 3400-7200 RPM?? I also have the RPM cylinder heads..
