FULL LENGTH HEADERS AND COLUMN SHIFT LINKAGE

I have full length headers on my 88 ss monte, 350 motor and I noticed that the previous owner removed the linkage that goes from the column to the tranny...It looks like he removed it because the linkage might have been in the way. not sure.   Do you know if I can put it back on without any problems? I DONT KNOW WHAT BRAND HEADERS THEY ARE, i BROUGHT THE CAR WITH THEM ALREADY ON.

some headers clear the linkage (like mine) others dont. If they took the linkage off, more than likely that had an issue with it contacting.
