people buy the dumbest things, went to get some ground beef to make sloppy joes tonight and people were fighting over the numbers at the deli counter. Who stocks up on cold cuts for a storm? What happened to good old milk, bread & eggs.
oh, you can now buy "D" batteries from the local crack dealer because they are in high demand. Saw people get tackled at Lowes this morning when they brought out a pallet of batteries.
My cars are full of gas, have 10 gallons for the generator (which I havent even dragged out of the shed yet and wont till Monday morning if needed) and the Monte is going to either Steves shop or the body shop for safe storage. Packed away all my yard crap and tied back the gates so they dont break loose and swing into my Chrysler.
my monte is going in mikes garage for the storm the tent garage i have for it i dont trust with high winds. the 57 will stay home. they cleared everyone off long beach island tonight
Well, "Old Blue" has a temp home too, went and rented A STORAGE GARAGE I hope he doesn't get too spoiled have to keep him safe...LOL we also put all patio stuff away as well, and took down all the hanging plants... be safe everyone!!

Thats where my Monte was going to end up if they couldnt get it in the shop. which one did you go to?
Some parts of Staten Island got flooded, and lost power. Luckily I'm on a hill so no flooding and only had minor blips of power loss through the night.
Funny thing I find about humanity though....when a big storm comes through and kills power or snow doesn't get plowed or people lose interent, there up and arms and complain....This time around in areas not hit as hard people say "Was that it?"...really unbelieveable...
My parents left on a cruise ship on Friday to the Carribean....and then they say I'm nuts...HA!
Well, after an earthquake on Tuesday and a Hurricane over the weekend, we made out fine. There was about a 36 hour power outage, but we live in a backwater village and probably weren't on the TO DO FIRST list. NO damage to anything at our house, no shingles or siding lost. I did talk to Anthony(84montemaniac) and he has a leaking roof, gonna have to get it replaced soon. That's it for now.
