So, there was once a Intimidator....

So, there was once a time were I drove a car I hated. A white 1993 Buick Regal custom with a 3800. Don't get me wrong...the engine is something amazing. Everything else wasn't. Every month something was going wrong. I was starting to look for a new car, but clueless on what I'm getting.

BUT! there was one fateful day..two months ago I was cruising down middle country road in selden in this dinky buick and this beautiful glossy black Intimidator pulls next to me. The moment the stoplight we were at turned green..just the sound coming from that car made my heart race. He flored it and it roared like a lion!

A month later I got my supercharged monte xD

Has anyone ever had that moment were you are side to side with a car you never expected to drive?

Yes, back in late 85. Right after I started driving my 71 Monte. I saw a pair of brand new 86 Monte SS's on the back of a car hauler. I fell in love with them! It took me another 4 years to buy one, but I got it and still have it today 22 years later!

I stopped going to the NY Auto Show simply because everytime I did, I ended up buying a new car. Not that it hasnt stopped me from buying new cars, but it did save me on train fair and tickets into the show...lol

I owned an 04 Intimidator SS and I miss that car. I remember driving by the dealer and seeing it displayed up on the ramp. I did a triple take and almost drove off the road. I am glad you seem to enjoy your car so much.

Its the best way to drive! I tore up my buick...once things began to break I began to not care. I miss it in some ways, even if it was old there is something about the older 3800's that I like. They got more of a roar to them compared to my monte's supercharged 3800. Or I just can't hear it over the constant whur of the supercharger.

What I meant was more of engine noise over exhaust noise. Could of just been less plastic.
