mini meet/show @ PortJefferson Station Autozone

Trying to get with my store manager on a mini-meet/show for the Autozone in Port Jefferson Station. The parking lot is fairly large, and can comfortably fit 15-20 cars for a show & still have plenty of space for customer parking. 

We have done a couple of Bronco shows that had a decent turnout. Thanks to the trucks we got the lot packed with customers.

Pizza is usually provided to club members. Last Bronco show we got about $150 max for food (pigged out on buffalo wild wings!!)

 

Let me know if you guys are interested && we will pick a date. Its a little late in the season to be planning a good show now so most likely be in spring.

Usually we hold shows on Sundays.

Also, a nice cruise down port or somewere else can be done too. I'll try to get scheduled in the morning so I can get out for the afternoon to hang out &drive.
Going to make a internet flyer or something for people to bring in for a 10% discount.
Something a little like this...:
"Welcome to the show! Print & bring in this flyer to the Port Jefferson Autozone's car show on --/-/2013 for 10% off in store stock purchases $35-$60!"

One of my co-workers is going to talk to his camaro buddies to see if we can get a couple extra people in the show. I guess it will be a chevy show!

If you open it to all, I belong to a couple other clubs and can get them to come also. One is all Mopar, the other is a mixed muscle car club

It can be open to all, from what it seems so far MAYBE 5 cars. The lot can hold 15-20 without trouble.

I'm making the date! The mini show will be April 21st (sunday) Rain date on the 28th. (is that a good set of dates? Nothing going on?)

I'll be calling the town for any permits needed(if its needed...)

its not really 15 cars. I'm just saying 15 so people don't rush in. The lot does hold 35-45 cars in the one area, still with 20 spots for customers. So far everyone I've given the flyers to I've let them know it truly isn't 15 cars, just as a precaution.

one more week!!!! So far the weather is going to be a beautiful 55* and perfectly sunny!!!! (bring sunglassess, its a cement parking lot & very bright.)

I will be going around with my camera for some sweet pics (unless someone else steals a spot in photography... :P )

I know tell me about it. I have to do couple more things to ss. Needs alternator and belts. Carb is all fixed new throttle plate on fixed vaccum leak.

The motor in the 86 is in pieces right now, so I will have the Chrysler. Will only be popping by for a bit, have 2 other engagements that day.

trouble shooting a dead spot under acceleration, looks like the distributor bushings are shot. Plus its getting new headers, cut-outs removed, heater hoses, plug wires, headlights and a few other goodies

Its alright if you guys can't make it, its still early in the season :)
On a side note...I have NO IDEA how i'm going to clean my car....the saturday before I'm bringing the monte to the shop to replace my e-brake/parking brake cable. don't know how long it will be but i only have until 2:30 to get into work...

I did my first run yesterday afternoon with him and he did fine so for. Still have to make minor adjustments but should be good for Sunday.
