grill and yard work tomorrow. Bought a variable speed Mark VIII harness, cut out the old wiring, and the new harness doesn't work. Time to scramble and get something installed for cooling. Maybe it's time to get the Intrepid fans I bought 2 years ago installed.

It was a bit on the warm side. Got my fan issue taken care of. When back to the original harness and replaced my fan with a Thunderbird 2-speed. It now starts on low and goes to high it required and does not stall the engine.

I found gas dripping from the shaft that runs through the secondaries. The carb has a site glass for the float level and I was unable to adjust it down. I suspect the bowl is filling up and then leaking.

Wasn't so hot here, but muggy! I did manage to get some of my "to do" list done.

Scrap pile 7/8 gone! Just couldn't get the last 4 pieces on safely.

Two truck loads and all we got was $226. Scrap isn't paying what they used to, But I almost have a full yard again.

Also fixed the blower motor, diagnosed the Check engine light and detailed the interior in the 01. Rebuilt the tire rack in the shed, plus fixed the side that was falling off. Got the lawn cut, cleaned the ponds, worked on the truck a bit and still managed to watch majority of the NASCAR race Saturday and the F1 and TORC races Sunday.

Somebody posted that the nationals looked like a small turn out and wanted to know how many there were. I would like to know how many showed up and not how many were registered. So far I haven't seen a pic of the full parking lot to count them.

gasket arrived, floats are where they should be now. Installed new fuel pressure gauge and gas poured out of it. The low temp fan switch also would not close which had been working fine earlier in the week. Then after about 20 minutes of running great, it suddenly started to run like crap. Replacement gauge and low temp switch are ordered.

Damn Frank!! I think your beating on that car in your sleep! LOL! Good luck getting it back up and running.

Last night Matt, his friends and I went to the KANSAS Concert. I am so glad I went! Never saw them before and was quite surprised. Those old guys rocked the place!!!

Today, I woke up late. I had a side job to knock out. Spent 6 hours on that. then cleaned the pond, the truck, started scraping the back windows and now taking a break cause it's showing 97* in the car. Hopefully it will cool down in a few hours and I can wash the 01.

Well, last nights plans were wrecked due to rain. Today I re grouted the shower, finally painted the trim around the windows in the back. cut the lawn and then watched the race. Too damn hot out there to do much. I wish I could finish the 01!!

Car is back together and ready for Super Chevy. I think I'll install a real coolant temp gauge inside the breadbox along with an override switch for the fan. Going to be another warm one today.

Car is running better after carb adjustments and lower amp draw fan.

Drove the 84 Friday for an inspection sticker, the first time it has left the driveway in a couple years. Got the sticker, brought it home, and the radiator let go in the driveway. Already ordered another, I think I will clean it up over the winter and take it to a cruise or show or two next year.

Frank that sucks!!! But Jims right! Get them out and drive them!!!

This weekend sucked! Friday night the power went out in the storm. Had to push Matt's car out in the rain to get the generator. Spent Friday night checking on the sump every couple hours.

Next morning, Trees down all over the neighborhood. Finally got power around 10:30 AM, half way through the side job I was working on. Then tracked down the short in Matt's car and fixed a few other things. Then cleaned up the mess from the storm. Wanted to go out to dinner with Diana for our anniversary, but she had to work.

Sunday, made a quick trip to the junkyard to grab a piece for Matt's truck before Diana got home from work, Spent the day together around the house. Then got a call that one of the girls in the office's Mother passed away. Went to the wake and then out to dinner. Came home and pretty much passed out.

12 hour shift today and I'm beat. Take care everyone!

Thanks Jim, But the only way I know how to relax is working on my cars or hanging out with friends at a car show or Junkyard. Diana says there is something wrong with me almost daily at this point, LOL!

Came home to start detailing the cars, Got Matt's cleaned up before the rain rolled in. Hopefully tomorrow I'll get mine done
