got home at 1:00AM Sunday from my business trip, spent the day outside yesterday enjoying the weather. Meeting John for dinner tonight and looking forward to the long weekend coming up.
John who? Great weekend at Corvette Carlisle. Looking to buy a newer Vette. 2012 Gransport Convertible in Carlisle Blue. The search is on. Then straight to East Coast Supercharging for headers, exhaust and a super charger. Have a buyer for my Vette already. S
Stayed at the Fairfied Inn where the 1st gen guys stay for GM Nationals. Nice place but isolated with no conveniences near by and no decent trailer parking. It's located in a sort of industrial park. Also checked out the new Holiday Inn Express. A better choice over Fairfield Inn but again, no trailer parking. So I will be back at the Quality Inn for GM Nationals as it still has the best amenity's. Trailer parking, go karts, Sunoco, breakfast place next door etc. I did book the Holiday Inn for Corvette Carlisle next year though as I don't trailer to that.
Sounds like everyone was busy this weekend. I guess I just bummed around at the car show Saturday, then cut part of the lawn. Sunday went to the junkyard and picked up some parts for the truck and my dad's car. then finished the lawn, played around with Matt's go kart, burnt my arm and then went in and watched TV. LOL!

Cars cleaned and gassed up for Olcott, and going to try to get some sleep tonight.
Have a great LONG weekend everyone!!!!

well back to work today. had a pretty good weekend. had a small bbq with an old friend and his wife we chatted for hours over drinks after we ate.
then sunday closed the pool down for the year.
spent many hours redoing a laptop for us. needed one to limp by until we can afford to buy a new one. also had to swap the power supply out of Karen's Pc she killed another one somehow...
we watch fast and Furious 6 and it was pretty damn good. fell asleep watching the new Fast& Loud with Dale Jr. will have to catch it another night.

You didn't miss much Jim, The Nomad came out OK, the colors were too bright in my opinion. They did a nice job, but they are a bunch of jack a$$es. Best part of the whole show was when they tore the pool down with the F250

My wife has a BIG tattoo across her lower back that says " I BELONG TO CRUSHER". Then on her right upper arm is "PROPERTY OF CRUSHER". They are very tastily done I think.

Jim, The seasonal stuff hasn't been all that bad. Just Cutting the lawn didn't bother me. But lately almost every car I get into has had dog hair in it and that's what has really sent me into sneezing fits. Then if I cut my lawn, I'm ready for the hospital.
Went out to dinner with Dave Jr. and Steph tonight. Had a great time, and am trying to get him to jump back on here once in a while. But having a 6 month old leaves little time to be online. LOL!

Have fun Jim! Matt and I are heading to the junkyard tomorrow for a handle for my mother's car and I need some rims for my neighbor's Saturn. Then heading to Holland speedway for Crashorama!

It wasn't 50% but it was a sizable amount. It was the section where the boardwalk actually survived the storm because Funtown Pier took the energy of the storm away from that area of the boardwalk. It will be built bigger and better. The said part was that the Merry Go Round was destroyed. Trish and I are going down today for the 100 year celebration. I'll get a look at what survived. I believe from the overhead PICS the Sawmill survived which is a favorite bar/pizza place of ours in the winter months.....
I'm also sure that some of the owners are somewhat happy about it as fire insurance covers just about everything whereas the storm insurance was lacking big time......Some however had no insurance I understand.
Also what many people don't know is that area of the boardwalk has a basement under it where all the utilities are and that was flooded in the storm. Since that is where the fire started some believe the salt water corrosion took it's toll on the electrical stuff and started the fire.....
Update...as with any catastrophe, it is so much worse in person. One block of the NEW boardwalk buildings were destroyed but except where they cut a fire break into the boardwalk, the boardwalk itself looks good. It was crazy to stand on the boardwalk and look down at six blocks of devastation. Just like with the storm, words just can't explain it. My buddies Uncle owns the 3 Brothers Pizza that was seen so much on the news. He has insurance I understand and has vowed to rebuild.

Do you have a large set 10-12? If so, do you use all the knives in the set? Advice I am getting is to buy certain individuale knives instead of a set. Most say 4-5 knives and then steak knives.

I'm in the market to buy a good set of Kitchen Knives. Not as easy as you think. Talk about choices......oiy. I still use steak knives I got for free when I filled my tank at Sunoco......lol
Kevin, That really sucks about the boardwalk. Hope it gets fixed up again.
And By the way, Since when did they start allowing you to play with sharp objects????
Jim, Glad you guys had a good time.

The steak knives could be a Christmas present this year.
I don't feel that we are at that level of our relationship yet to be exchanging Christmas presents. Sorry!
hurtful, very hurtful
Yes it was and it has ruined my day. Thank you very much. Your comment almost caused me to use harsh language......but I'm stronger then that. I'm Jersey Shore Strong. I'm Stronger then the Storm and Stronger then the FIRE. The governor told me so......
