Hello all! It has been awhile! As the season slowly approaches the search for car shows, gatherings and travel plans are being determined. I would really like to get together for Spiedie Fest again this year. We did not do it last year, cry. It always is a good time. It would be nice to hit the Sunday show instead of the Saturday show as the classes are more interesting (I think most would agree). Most of us have talked about that idea I believe. Usually we show up on a Friday and leave on Sunday. Let's show up on a Saturday, 8/3 and leave on Monday, 8/4!

Who is in? We are if there if we can get a group to go with. biggrin The car show starts on Sunday at 10am and is called the "Power Cruise Show". (Saturday's show is Antique Cars and Trucks"...yawn)

Dave and Tim - I know the Summit weekend trip is the same time and poses a conflict for you guys but hopefully you leave the dark side and want to go to Spiedie Fest!

I hope many of you can make the trip this year as my work schedule sucks and this is most likely the only possible "trip" for us this season. no

Matt, I would love to do that show again, But I am working on a full weekend in Ohio that weekend. But if that doesn't pan out, maybe we can do it.

i want to get back to this show, but we're away on a week vacation the week after this. so i won't be able to make it.

i would like to set this up for next year and do like Kevin suggested and stay until Monday.

OK, I have it on my calendar for Sat to Monday. (Weather Permitting). What about a Hotel? Same one or look for one closer to the event?

 

Life is to short and it passes you by without thou knowing it.  So I'm making it a point to do shows or get rid of the Monte. Like Super Chevy.  Looks like I'm the only one going.  Although it would be more fun with other people there I'm still gonna go.  I like the show and I'll party in the lot with my Red Stripe by myself.   Same with my Motor Cycle.  I'm either going to do trips or get rid of that also.  Got a lot planned for both this year so far.  Reservations made and pinned on the calendar.   Don't want to die wishing I had done more.  Lifes other stuff will get done at some point.  It's summer and time to enjoy my stuff or whats the sense in having it.......

To be honest that Quality Inn isn't to bad for the price, the next best option i would say is the Hampton Inn in Johnson City which is only about 3-4 miles from the quality inn in Vestal and costs a bit more.
OR there is a Comfort Inn right down the street from that park on rt11, can check that out if you want. don't know much about it myself

It is a really fun time. What is really nice is there is a few other things to do and see other than a car show so there is fun for the entire family.
