Matt Says Thanks guys!

Jim, Matt says he'd rather just ride with me. Sorry

Scott, AS soon as it stops raining I will. Look through the pics from our NC trip. There might be a side shot in there

Perfect pic!!! Thanks. What widths did he go with? Those tire sizes will keep my front end exactly where it is, and only raise the back 1/4". I can live with that.

Scott, The fronts are 17"X7". and the 235's are 26.25" tall. The rears are 18"X9" with a 4.25 backspace and the 275's are 26.45" tall. The old tires were 26.20" The ride height didn't change. But I'd suggest you go with 8" in the rear. We had to install longer studs, 5/16" spacers, "adjust" the inner fender well, and slightly roll the inner fender lip to make them fit without rubbing.

Jenn, Matt has spent a lot of time in that car. We didn't think the color combo would come out right, but he pulled it off.

Tim, I wish I knew you needed some. Matt and I got bored last night and played Monster Jam with the beast and that pile of garbage. Ever see a dresser set explode?? LMAO!!!!

Seemed like a lot of meat for the rears. I was looking at 8's for the back with a 255 tire

275's are as wide as you can fit without mini tubbing. And yes they are wide, but they handle so much better!

I wish I would have notched the frame before the paint was done. These cars have no room back there. Im running 295's on the Chrysler and have seen 315's back there with minor fender rolling

Thanks Matt.

Scott, If we notched the frame and Mini tubbed it, he'd be running 295s. He's already talking about swapping the fronts to 255s. Damn kid wants a tank to handle like a McClaren F1 car!

So this weekend, we pulled his car out of storage and started getting it ready for the upcoming season.

We ordered a set of new shocks from Tire Rack and the rear shock mount support bar from UMI Performance.

Jacked the car up and got the stock rims off

Out with the old

And in with the new

And the shock mount bar installed

Now the car rides stiff, but seems to corner better.

Tim, you will be one of the first to know Sunday.

Jim, that's just what we did so far, He has a few pieces that still need to be finished, painted and installed before we head to Michigan next month. Plus I still have to figure out his battery draw issue and some rewiring to his fuse box. Too many wires running under the dash.

So, time to post up the latest upgrade. Matt wanted something different under the hood than the typical covers that Tim and I have. He took an idea off a Camaro we saw at a show and expanded on it. Came out really nice and he has gotten quite a few comments and questions about it.

Thanks guys. Matt's been busy coming up with ideas and doing his best to implement them. Now he's getting ideas from the race cars! Next year will be fun!
