Jim, that sucks! I know how you feel, I have to reseal an oil pan on a Ford Ranger tomorrow for the 2nd time. Nothing like having to pull the motor out for the second time in 2 weeks. The customer didn't believe me when I said "its a Ford, they are supposed to leak"

went to bleed the front brakes only to find out i needed front brakes on the damn Hoe. so an hour trip to autozone and back and got stuff for an oil change while i was there.

got it all back together. will road test it tonight. it was almost 9 last night and i didn't fell like driving.

next up is front hubs and the ABS harnesses on Katie's 03 monte.

then maybe i will finally fix the damn header gasket on my monte.

Yes Dave Fords are supposed to leak. it helps them from rusting away faster...lmao

We didn't get any snow either, Kind of wished we did. Maybe I could get some work other than oil pans and Sprinter Vans.

Jim, Thats what I said, Guy just doesn't want to believe me. Pulled the motor out, swapped the oi pan gasket, front and rear man seals and valve cover gaskets, then got pulled to repair a Sprinter van's Turbo hose, Throw a driveshaft in a F-250 and a Cat back Exhaust in a 2000 Vette. Then I got to take lunch! After Lunch, dropped motor back in and got most of it back together. Tomorrow I have to put the intake on, the radiator, fill the fuids, fire it up and hope like hell it doesn't leak!!!

Come on weekend!!!!

 Didn't realize that was legal in NJ, LOL!

Washed the truck yesterday, Then saw the bathroom counter was sticky from Diana's hairspray, cleaned that, got the mirror wet, so I cleaned that, noticed some gunk on one wall and it just escalladed from there. Before I knew it I spent 2 hours cleaning the bathroom. Next time it will stay sticky!!!

Had a chance to get the 01 a new battery and took it for a drive today. Man it's filthy from just sitting! Was going to clean it today, but decided cleaning the rifles was more important.

Ganji was the name of the guy that use to pump his gas. 50 degree Saturday and Sunday. Replaced the battery in the 84 and pulled them both out of the garage and let them run for a bit. Starting to feel like spring.

that's funny Dave. there is no way i would clean Karen's hairspray funk. She uses the 1/2 bath in our room for that.

did some more meat and mac and cheese in the smoker. grilled both days. it felt good to be outside. went shopping with the wife and kids for a couple of hours. was suprised the monte actually fired up. thought for sure the battery would be dead from it sitting outside for over a month.

 Never said she had to. I clean the wreck room, the bedroom, the family room, garage, take care of the shoveling, the lawn, the garden, the fish tanks, and all 6 vehicles. No reason for me to have to deal with sticky hairspray and make up on the walls and counter tops when all I want to do is brush my teeth. I make a mess, I clean it. So should other people.

 

Kevin, I never had one so I can't LOL! But My Firearm permit says untill revoked by a NYS Court of law. I'll have to check with them.

 

Frank. we just got a dusting today, just enough to make people forget how to drive. 12 car pile up on the 290!

uggg. had a stupid class for the VVT's on a ford trucks. 2-1/2 hrs of my life i would like back from last night.
we couldn't wait to get the hell out of there.

we had a dusting of snow this am. but everyone drove good.....all except the a-hole school bus driver that pulled out in front of me. then purposely made a left from the straight lane so i could not get around them. thought about calling the bus depot which is where the bus pulled out in from of me from. but it would get nothing done.

LOL! I'll be in a boring classroom next wednesday for Ford Diesel repair.

we had a dusting agin too, most has melted already. They say we should get some more this weekend. This weekend I was hoping to uncover the 86 and start replacing the header gaskets. We'll see what happens

Yeah, well that didn't happen! Got home late and sore from work yesterday, so I just took some Motrin and watched the Sebring race. This Morning had all intentions of going into the garage, saw the snow and said F* it! Hopefully we'll have a decent day this week and I can get things started for next weekend. I'm off and only have 1 side job to knock out, so I should be good.

spent saturday as a lazy day. other then driving 50 miles around stopping at thrift shops looking for stuff with the family.
then made me and karen put together 2 pizza breads and we watcehd movies all night with the kids.

then sunday i ran 350' of wiring on my friends barn. he is making a family room upstairs. so i installed many switches and outlets. installed lighting and all sorts of other stuff. got a lot done but i have more to do.

Well, I started to pull the headers. Cleaned the driveway from the snow and pulled the 01 SS out. Knocked out 2 side jobs this morning, pulled the covers off the SS, fired it up, and moved it sideways in the garage. Jacked it up and pulled the battery and right side inner fender well. Then I said EH! I guess I'll try again tomorrow.

Header problem Dave?

Hit 50 here yesterday. Got the front upper control arms and springs removed yesterday. Found the driver spring broken at the first coil. I'd like to find some replacement dust shields for the front, one of mine as a rust hole through it.

Frank, I blew out the right side header gasket on the way to Super Chevy last year. Never had a chance to fix it until now. Sort of, I spent an hour yesterday pulling the header off, then went to buy the gaskets. Then decided to watch the NASCAR race, LOL!

Jim, you'll like this one! The dillweed had to replace a belt and an idler pulley on a Sprinter this Morning. Guess they could wait till I got in today, they took it apart Saturday. Well the Idler doesn't have any grooves so he thought it was the wrong one. He asked me about it, I told him it was the right one and that the belt goes over the pulley. Nope he decided that it didn't look right to him and installed the belt under the pulley. Well, he smoked the belt off before it even got out of the shop! I was asked to see what was wrong. I nearly choked him! How could you be smart enough to ask for help. but dumb enough to not take the advice??

Well, good news! They are looking to hire someone. Just hoping this guy has a little talent. Maybe even something we can train.

Tonight I managed to get the header back on. Started to clean it up and then decided tomorrow is another day! Need to get it back together this weekend so we can get Matt's car home next weekend and get started on his. Come on Nice weather!!!!!

no working on anything the next few days. We and Karen are going away tomorrow until sunday to a house i rented on Lake Wallenpaupack. It's up near the poconos. i'm off Monday as well. I will be finishing the wiring on my friends barn on Monday and maybe do some work on the roof project at my house.

we had a great weekend. can't wait to go back up there on vacation in June.
came home Sunday and just sat around watching TV with Karen.
Then Monday i worked on my friends barn doing some more wiring. i've ran over 500' of wiring so far in the barn.

Glad to hear you guys got away and had fun.

Finally got the SS back together tonight. Still need to finish cleaning it, buy a new air cleaner wing nut and install some new wire separators.

Hopefully tomorrow we'll be bringing Matt's SS home and get started on getting it ready.

hopefully we'll get the roofing material done on the deck roof tomorrow.
i will be busy building the 2 benches the convert into picknic tables. also have to figure out what size table to build for the deck.
