so i'm sitting home watching tv the other day. here comes a FORD commercial. they're showing off the new SHO. now.. in school they always tought us to read the fine print. if you watch the commercial when it says v6 economy look at the fine print. 17 city 24 highway. close to a G8. DAMNIT GM WAKE UP!

In all honesty, if GM doesn't come out with a new GN or that Holden Ute here, by the time I'm ready for my next car...I will be looking for a used G8 GXP as hard as they will be to get, they are awesome cars...my gripe isn't with the fuel economy, but the fact that the public begged GM to keep this car on the market, and they out right ignored the please of there customers...not a good look for the "New" GM...

joe i say the same thing. however, who knows what will be practical for me by that time. i might need a truck. might need a car.

i want to buy gm in the worst way..

if its a truck and if gm actualy could come threw with what they say.. i want a 1500 d-max.

car something like a g8 that actualy can pull down some mpg and still have guts.

funny.. i said the same thing untill i was driving my dad's dulley everyday.. man that $70+ a week is a killer

MPG is overrated......I don't think so.

Stopped driving my SS as a daily in '03. It would get 8-10 in the city. Started driving my '94 Beretta.....22-25mpg keeps more bread in my pockets. Which in turn gives me money to save for my SS or my Z28.

But as Joe stated above......"new" GM has nothing to offer me either if wanted a new car right now.

I have always been a GM guy. I used to be a mechanic and I felt that they were built better than Ford or Chrysler. Ford always had rust and wire corossion issues and chrysler was always junk. Now I am not too sure. If I was in the market right now it would be a G8 or a G6 but Pontiac is no more!! I like the look of a lot of new Fords. The new Taurus looks nice on the commercial and the new Mustang looks nice too.

As long as the New GM is controlled by the government, exciting cars are going to be scarce. Once GM  gets out from under the govrnment's thumb new and exciting cars may happen again. It is going to take time for GM to get on track and show what they will do. Till then, schools out. and people need to wait and see what happens.

no, as soon as I saw $43K I walked away. Thats nearing Corvette territory. Id rather buy a G8 and drop a blower on it for that price

the G8 would sell around here if the dealers werent holding out for sticker or above. Dives me nuts. Port Jeff has a 2 year left over that they can "let it go" for $155 under sticker.

not just them, been to every Pontiac dealer around, all the same way. They keep telling me they are hot sellers, but they all have 08 & 09 still and none driving around

scott if you want check out the pontiac dealer in stuart, fl they ahve a few sitting outside online they want 27g's for them and i hear its an excelnt dealer
