This thread is from a year and a half ago when I did my motor swap but I wanted to keep it documented for all to see so here it is....

Here are a couple of before pics.

The Monte as it sat in January of 2008

The motor is in the car (late Jan 2008). There is still a lot to do. I have to make a few adjustments too because the headers are sooo close on the passenger side frame rail that I could barely fit a piece of paper through.  Sorry for the slightly blurry picture.

I didn't beat the daylight so the pictures and videos will have to wait until this weekend. I did snap this poorly lit picture.
I still have to shim the starter, tinker with the choke and do a bit of detail cleaning.

I used this thread to document the installation of my new motor and components. The 305 was only nine years old but the Monte was due for the 350 upgrade it always should have had.
The goodies that went in are as follows:

Edelbrock Victor Series Water Pump (thanks Jay)

100Amp Powermaster Alternator
MSD Distributor, and Wires
Ready Rad Aluminum Radiator (thanks again Jay)
Holley Fuel Pump
Hooker Competition Series Headers w Jet Hot coating
Pro Torque 12" Converter stall 2200-2800
G-Force Double Hump Crossmember
Flowmaster Super 40 Mufflers
Odds and Ends - Fuel Gauge, Thermostat Housing Etc...
