heres a short story on my cousin i lost that day i also lost many friends that worked in the towers. A police and firefighters that went in to help.
ones that made it out live their lifes with heath issues or some sort of guilt.

Louis Caporicci, 35, VP, partner at Cantor Fitzgerald

Date of Death 9/11/2001

Louis A. Caporicci was known for his sports obsession, especially for the New York Rangers. He found a way to channel this obsession into his generous spirit and fatherly devotion to make a difference in the life of others.

Louis A. Caporicci and Lori Pisano both began their careers right after high school at Morgan Stanley, in its Brooklyn MetroTech Center office. They married three years after they met. Mr. Caporicci began in the dividend department, then became a loan representative.

In 1995, he transferred to Cantor Fitzgerald, to become vice president of the securities lending department. He was made a partner in the firm last December. As per their morning ritual, Mr. Caporicci called his wife at 8:30 a.m. on Sept. 11 from his office on the 104th floor. "We had the normal, husband-wife, happy-go-lucky conversation," recalled Mrs. Caporicci. She called him back as soon as she heard about the plane hitting the first tower and spoke to a co-worker.

He returned her call about 8:50 and said they were trying to get out, but he remains among the thousands missing in the tragedy.

Born in Brooklyn, Mr. Caporicci was brought to Great Kills as a 3-month-old infant, and lived there until he moved to Tottenville when he married in 1991. The 35-year-old, who graduated from Tottenville High School, loved music.

He was a parishioner of Our Lady Help of Christians R.C. Church, Tottenville. Mrs. Caporicci described her husband as an "obsessive, compulsive Rangers and Mets fan, with an emphasis on the hockey team. His brother, Joseph, added, "If you looked up 'fanatic' in the dictionary you would see his picture."

Joseph Caporicci described his brother's basement as a "mini-Madison Square Garden" bedecked with Rangers memorabilia.

Louis Caporicci found the perfect excuse for his overindulgence when he became involved in the Boomer Esiason Foundation, a fund for children with cystic fibrosis. Mr. Caporicci took part in numerous sports memorabilia auctions, and he took an active role selling raffles as the result of getting to know the former New York Jets quarterback, whose offices were on the same floor as Mr. Caporicci. He was recognized for his contributions by the football player at a dinner for the foundation.

According to his wife, Mr. Caporicci shared his love of sports with their two daughters by being the biggest fan of their dance, cheerleading and soccer efforts. Nine and 5 years of age, he had not been successful in making them Rangers' fans, but he was not completely unsuccessful either. His youngest daughter chose number 99 for her soccer jersey, the number of her father's favorite player, Wayne Gretsky.

"He was a very funny man," said Mrs. Caporicci. "He lived every day like it was his last. I'm 1,000 percent sure he had no regrets."

In addition to his wife, Lori; his brother, Joseph, and his two daughters, Lauren and Christina, surviving are his parents, Patricia and Nicholas Caporicci; two more brothers, Frank and Nicholas, and his grandmother, Ann Caporicci.

I can't believe it happened 8 years ago! I remember standing in our waiting room and watching it on TV as it was happening. A truely sad day in America's history. God bless all those that lost their lives and those that worked so hard in the weeks and months after.

It was a sad Day, I remember it well, I just heard a plane crashed into one of the towers while standing at the parts store, By the time I got back to the shop, the other plane hit. I knew 2 people that died that day.

For those that were there, I can not say I can comprehend what you would have seen.

and for those that were there to help in the aftermath, Thank you and may God help you in any way he can!

9-11 is something our generation will NEVER forget!! We'll remember that day exactly where we were and what we were doing, and the way we felt. Even if you didn't know anyone personally who was lost, you feel like you did. God Bless them all..

Although it has been 8 years it does not get any easier....

As stated regardless of what one watched on tv, it pales in comparison to being there...believe me I know....

I was ok up until this morning when I got off my bus, walked past the site and the memorial at Battery park, and saw all the fire emt, and police trucks and cars around, and then it all came flooding back....

An absolute devistating day for sure....God Bless all of the friends and family we lost on this tragic day....

Joe

I spent 4 months down there digging and cutting steel from day 1.

I lost 2 close co-workers down there that day.

I now have some sickness that has had my in the hospital off and on for the last 7 years.

22 pills a day and a self injection every 2 weeks.

The doctors still aren't 100% sure what it is.

The City and the Job Doctors say "Oh well, has nothing to do with Ground Zero"

EIGHT YEARS LATER!!!!!  What do we have????

I will tell you what we have. NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!

All I see is a HUGE HOLE IN THE GROUND!!!!!!!

And why????

Because instead of working together, Everyone has to bitch and moan about what they want.

EIGHT YEARS and still NOTHING

STILL A GIANT HOLE IN THE GROUND!!!!

No building!!!!!! No memorial!!!!!!

EIGHT YEARS LATER AND I SEE SEE THE DESTRUCTION FROM A BUNCH OF THIRD WORLD COUNTRY EXTREMISTS

And most New Yorkers couldn't give a crap!!!

Today is more of an annoyance to them due to the street and traffic closures.

On your way to and from work today count the number of AMERICAN FLAGS you see on peoples homes. A REAL FLAG. Not some forgotten about sticker on the back of a minivan.

A government that calls returning military, ex military and local police possible domestic terrorists?????

SO YOU TELL ME WHO WON???????

Sorry to talk it out on you guys.

I know all here remember what happened today and keep it in your hearts.

But these things I mentioned absolutely infuriate me!!

I hear ya....boy do I hear ya....I have the same anger, not only with the above, but also over the fact that Osama is still out there and not captured...there is a lot of anger to be had....

But not today....today is not that day to take out that anger....we have 364 other days of the year to have that....

No, not today....today is the day we stop...stop and remember all the people we lost....the good times and bad, the memories....to cherish and always remember them so there lgeacy lives on....

Also to stop and realize how short life is....you can be here one minute sitting in your office, or where ever and gone the next...unlike other days when you reminsce on old friends who are still around and say maybe I'll give them a call one day....let today be the day you call an old friend and catch up...even if it's just for 5 minutes....

Just MO...

Joe

John,
Your anger is understandable. What you don't realize is the majority of people appreciate what people like yourself did on that day and we'll never forget that as well. It was amazing to see all the people down their digging and working without any thought to their own well being.

Joe,
Great point.. and perfectly said. Listening to the Church bells ringing today while sitting in my building looking around thinking, life is way too short to be angry!!! Enjoy it, were only here for a very short time.
