I had flowtech shorties on and they fit like crap!. I had to dimple one tube a lot to clear the upper control arm. I now have the coated Headman shorty on and they went it very easy. The fit is good and no dimpling of any tubes. You get what you pay for.

Thanks Doc, I was just reading on another forum the same thing about the flowtechs. The hedmans are what I had in mind. you say you have them on your LS now?? are they the same part# as the ones I have listed ?
Also are there any other brands that anyone else has had good luck with?

Hate to admit it, but when I worked at autozone we use to order these in all the time. People use to like the price of flowtech but once they tried to install them they come back bitchin about it. I agree, spend a little more for hedman. I get ones that fit and ones that are coated.

Yep, same ones. They were a breeze to install.

Doug, those are things that need to be replaced with the motor, if your rebuilding it.
True, but if i end up having to replace the whole motor , then i'll have bought alot of unneccesary stuff. have to get this motor out and apart first, see whats what.. and go from there. I beleive that this motor is saveable, it doesnt run bad only has about 2k on the rebuild from the previous owner told me, I had the valve covers off over the summer and everything looks like brand new super clean in there. something went wrong somewhere. Like I said I'll know more once its apart
