I'm in for an all day job here. I can barely make out my cars in the driveway. Old Blue's shelter has a ton of snow that has to get removed and the snow is up to the front door. LOL ... Time to fire up the snow blower

I got an inch...I am not even going to shovel......Tommy and Doc, I bet you wish the Party was last night instead of last week....someone powerful would have shoveled for you!
Well, we are finally done. 2 1/2 hrs, thank God for the snow blower, LOL. The snow was up to my hips, deeper in some spots, OMG, too much. Took some pics Jay will post later. I am tired and hungry. Now I can finish decorating my tree.
20" here plus drifts of 3 to 4 feet. Been shovelin 3 hours, just to get to the car, then the plow comes by and makes more work! Sprained my wrist, so now I am done! Time for some hot toddies and a NAP!..............Still LUV da snow!.....can you say "White Christmas"?

22" - 24" here, just over 5 hours to dig out and that was with a snow blower. Only managed to get 2 of the 3 cars free. Then I loaded up the snow blower into the truck and did my brother's driveway, another 2 hours. Still cant feel my toes... lol
about 20 inches here, been at work for the last two days clearing the lot. 17 hours of OT, my back and feet are killing me right now, glad to sit down at the puter. Haven't even gotten to my driveway. It ain't gonna be fun. :(

Doc, you should have called for your sons.....They would have ridden to the rescue.......including me! Leo, I am sure you looked at that snow cross-eyed and it melted upon command!
I'd say so. My goodness ... it's been a while since we've had that much snow on the ground. Would be kinda nice, actually.....maybe.....

...the amount of salt on the streets here is ridiculous
Heh ... same here. The first "snow fall" we received a few weeks ago ... amounted to just a miniscule trace of snow. But, the salt they dumped on the roads in preparation for it. Holy crap. The roads were white with salt, not white with snow. And, I'm sure they'll complain about a shortage and/or a shortage of money later in the season.....
Glad your getting the OT Doug, I sure ain't. I need a nasty storm for cars to start breaking! We had 1 appointment today, So I took a vacation day, Figured I'd be sent home around 10 anyways, LOL! That Freezing rain should help! bent wheels, control arms, axles, collision jobs...........
Tim, so thats the Dog house Doc keeps refering to! No wonders he doesn't mind all that much, LOL! All he needs is Jim's heater!
And yeah, I'm missing it too, not just because of the OT, But I really enjoy the stuff, Snowblowing mounds for my neighbors grandkids to slide down, parking on snowbanks, driving the truck sideways.....

yeah nice part about the OT is I can go in and work a few hours or a 8 hr shift if i want,,and its generally only there in the winter months, once the golf courses close up ,,we get triple the # patrons , lot more partys and rentals. then after the first of the year we get all the new years resolutioners coming in, add to that with all the salt they put down in the parking lot the place gets trashed quik LOL spent 2 days alone last week cleaning carpets . It will calm down by march once the weather gets nicer and the courses open again
LOL Cort the streets were whiter then ever here from all the salt

We got nothing out of that storm. I was so glad to see, you all down in the southern tere of the state finally getting, what we are so used to up here. LOL. But overall, we will get socked in sooner or later. We still have snow, from the snow storm a few weeks ago.
I was just in Buffalo, and they have even less over there. Weird weather.

We got our share of snow, 12/26/09. The FORECAST was for at MOST ... 3". We RECEIVED ... ~11". Imagine what it would've been if the forecast was for 11". LOL!
Tomorrow ... 12/30/09, the prediction of snow is anywhere from 1-5". Wonder how much we'll get. *rolls eyes*
Then ... starting New Year's Day ... temps PLUMMET. Teens for highs and single digits for lows. Brrrrrrrrrr. At least the snow provides SOME fun ;).
