I rebuilt the tranny but haven't been back to the track with her.Hugh difference with the tranny it doesn't take 500 rpm to shift any more.
Getting some new rubber soon thoose kelly chargers aren't very good on the lunch.
Just got to convince the wife to let my go back to the track the last time out the one of the engine mount ripped out the oil pan on her cavi.

worst thing you can do is burn out with street tires. a sight dusting is fine but no burn out like that. was the car up on the converter or did you flash it?

The burn out depends on the tires.I had a really good set of kumho supra tires on a dakota I had a burn out like what I did in the montemade them nice an sticky.
I was only launching at just over 2000 rpms it's only got a 2100-2300 stall b&m torquemaster converter.
I've been diein to go racing since I rebuilt the tranny the throttle responce and shifts are sooooo much better an it hold power a lot better too.

well it all comes down to opinion with the tires.. still i would have did a light dusting.

i'd persoanlly put the car up on the converter as much asn you can. roll out about 10-20 ft then nail it.

I've only ran the monte a few times.Not too used to launching a auto.I used to race a 5 speed dakota for a few years.I could launch that thing like a sling shot.

Going to be ordering some drag radials in the next few days.Don't know if i'm going to go with the BFG's or Nitto's,them i'm going to melt the kelly's.

i LOVED my nittos. they worked really well. also my bfg's i havent had much time on them but also like them. if your going to drive them on the street then nittos hands down. yet.. they drive like crap on the street.

i had the Mickey Thompson ET streets very nice tire did great on the street and very sticky

I'd like to run the mickry thompson et street's but there just out of the budget range.I was thinking the bfg's since I have bfg radals on the front right now.

yes they're out of ny budget now as well. i have regular bfg's on now. but i put the ET's thru some hell and they held up great. i drove all over with them. drove to binghamton,wildwood,sea pirate,and lots of other places no problem noing 70 on the highway they just didn't like the highway in the rain..

i HATE my car with DR's. the car handles like crap. very un easy in corners and honesly my street tires hooked better on the street.
