Kyle, the starter is located right below the forward exhaust manifold. from under the car, you will see it right alongside the oil pan.

"That's weird cause I was told by the guy who checked my voltage that it was right behind the radiator"

Kyle, it is. Behind the radiator, attatched to the motor, below the forward mounted exhaust manifold right alongside the oil pan.

Kyle, What battery do you have in the car? it should be a 78 something, but it depends on the mfg.

Kyle, more Amps in a battery won't make a differance, amperage rating is a reserve rating, Your starter motor will only take so much, the rest just sits. It's like taking a glass of water from the faucet, You only take 1 glass, but there are millions of glassfulls just waiting to come out. No harm in letting them sit.

Besides, you took it to a mechanic, didn't he check the battery? Did he do anything? Or is this just some guy off the street saying he's a mechanic?

Tim is right, it should be a 78 series battery in there.

It was an actual mechanic...so I should change the battery. It could be harming my system having too much amps?

why change it? if the battery is good leave it alone, the extra amperage helps, especially if youhave a large Amp and Subwoofers

Is it possible its a loose wire attached to the starter, or even a loose ground?

So even if the mechanic ran a electronic check and the starters voltage checked out fine could it still be a loose wire somewhere?

the problem with the loose wire or bad ground is that it doesn;t happen all the time. You have to go thru all the wires and double check connections.

exactly! loose connection can wreek havoc on electrical issues. and they don't have to be loose, if there is any corrosion, the extra resistance will cause the same thing.
