I dont know if any of you are interested or care, There is an organization called Eastern Motor Racing Association (EMRA) that organizes some group race days to try and lower costs to individuals. There are a few time trial events where you race against your own time coming in the next few months. They have events in Connecticut, New Jersey, and the Poconos, all are pretty close. Heres the Schedule

Friday - July 9th Lime Rock
Sunday - Aug. 1st Lightning Circuit @ NJ Motorsports Park
Saturday - Aug. 28th Lime Rock
Sunday - Sep. 19th Thunderbolt Circuit @ NJ Motorsports Park
Sunday - Oct. 3rd Pocono North

There is another track down in Virginia, but I dont think too many people want to drive all the way down there. To participate, all you need is a car and a helmet. Be careful though, there is a tech inspection, and last year one of the brand new corvettes that I traveled up with was not able to race because his battery wasn't bolted down

I participated in October 2009 with my 01 SS and got to understand how my car handles in rain at high speeds. Its a fun experience and I do recommend it to everyone. If anyone is interested and wants more information, go to http;//www.emraracing.org

well it also depends if he sends me. one of the divisions of his company he transports SCCA cars around.
