well, been out of town on work for the past 3 days, so no progress on the Monte. Did get the oil pressure switch (hopefully) in. It was a b**** to get in.
Did order a set of these in gold. Can't wait to get them
yeah, got the last clamp covers painted, so I should be able to get the hose on, get the fender wells on and start it up. Going to be out of town again this week, but HOPEFULLY will be able to get it to the exhaust shop next weekend and start to enjoy it!!!
he said just the gold. I would jump on them fast!!!! Hopefully he gets the gold ones in... and fast. In the mean time, I'm going to have to get creative
looks very nice.. and nice job on the clean up of the metal too.. still dream of owning that model some day.. wonder if u can combine 06/07 engine wheels/tires suspension shocks ect with ur model having rear wheel drive and t tops.. be a perfect monte
Well, for the most part, I'm done. Still some things I need/want to do to it, but I need to get this back on the road and start to enjoy the nice weather. Car goes to the exhaust shop tomorrow!!! I'll get some sound clips later.
Frank, right now it's pretty much open headers..the one side is not connect to anything, and the other just has the pipe shoved in the header outlet. It's loud and has a nice rummble to it, so we shall see how it changes once the exhaust is connected. At this poiint I'm just getting my existing exhaust connected.
My wifes comment was, "Is it suppose to sound like that??" My oldest said "thats loud... sounds like a race car" as see covered her ears and ran away. Youngest said "Ohhhhh (with excitement, pointed at the car, then put on a smily giggle)"
I have hope that one of my girls will be into cars lol
Well exhaust is on, not as loud as I was hoping, but I guess I got use to the leaky manifold for over a year, so now this sounds like a mouse lol. have a couple vacuum leaks to take care of, but shouldn;t be too bad. I'll get some pics and clips of the work later.
