Sounds good to us, what time in the morning did you plan on leaving?

We leave here around 9am on a Fri, any earlier and we hit even more traffic.
I have to see where that rt meets up with ours.
We still have to do the GWB, not sure from there lol

Tommy, Spoke to Ang in the shout box this morning. On the way to the Nationals we are planning on stopping at the Cabela's that is right off of I-78. I think we should try and plan arrival there just before lunch time if possible since they have a restaurant inside.

What do you think?

Also, Where do you want to meet up?

Hell that sounds like as plan to me as well. we're only an hour from cabela's and it's only a bit over an hour to carlisle. i can meet you guys there at cabela's

IF everyone is game I would like to meet up on I78. Travel time for the LI Crew is about same as mine. I pick up 78 off of 287 and if memory serves me correctly when we traveled to the Monte Nats we met up right on 78 just past the the I78/I287 interchange. Travel time to Cabela's is about 2.5 hrs.

If we all leave at about 9:00 am we should be at Cabela's by Noon, barring any stops.

If everyone does not want to spend much time in Cabela's other than for lunch then I can leave earlier, get my shopping done and meet you all when you get there.

Carlisle is about an hour further down I78 from Cabela's which should give us plenty of time to get there and get checked in.

For anyone that is interested here is a link to the Menu at the Cabela's restaurant. I am thinking of either the Elk or wild boar myself :).

John if you guys aren't there until 12 then we'll leave my house later since it only takes me a little more then a hour to get to cabella's. as far as eating there i don't know about wild boar or elk...lol i might just take the kids to Mcd's or one of the fast food places right next door to cabella's instead. there's a lot of places right by there to eat. we've spent way to much money in june so we're going cheap on some of the meals. but we do want to check out cabella's so we'll meet you there.

Like I said, Cabela's is not a must. I need to stop there and pick up a few things not available in NY State and can adjust my schedule accordingly. Let me know what everyone else wants to do.

One of the things that is hard for me is parking on the side of the road (highway) waiting, few reasons, one trailers are passing me at 80 and shakes my car I get a lil nervous...other issues include cops seeing me on the side of the road thinking I'm stuck either pull over or call tow trucks even if I tell the towers I'm fine, the cops call it in again and they must come out again...

Once I hop on I78, I will find either a safe spot to pull over, or an exit and get off for a bit...then call and let you guys know where I am...getting to I78 is only about a half hour from my house so I have to time it right when you guys are rolling through...

As for Cabela's IDC how long we stay there...as a matter of fact the longer the better, gives my car a chance to cool down, since I'm only running one fan and it looks like its gunna be a hot one....and IDC if we don't make it to the field at Carlilse on Friday...

Like I said I'm good either way, I like the idea of traveling together as much as possible, it is kind of relaxing for me to travel in a group environment. Maybe this time Joe will even take a picture of my new truck traveling down the road pulling the trailer. Also, I had no intention of being on the show field on Friday, Did not even know we could.

As far as meeting up on I78, Exit 24 is just past the I78/287 interchange. If we decide to meet up on the road then that may be a good spot.
I do not want Joe to get nervous sitting on the side of the road and you all know that tractor trailers do not intimidate me LMAO!!! Maybe it was that episode that got Joe nervous LOL.

Anyway the bottom line for me is whether I leave at 8:00 am or 9:00 am, I'm good either way.
