Not sure if anyone remembers but first time I went to install the big block/T56 I found a crack in the bellhousing.





Had to weld it up.






Well on Monday of this week, I went to install the engine/trans.

Put the bellhousing on the back of the engine installed all the bolts before tightening them.

As i am tightening one bolt another bolt hole cracks!!!!!!



So.....so far the housing has cracked in 3 different places without even being in the car!!!!!!

I have no idea if this is just a bad casting from GM or if this is common with these bellhousings.

Either way 510 bucks later i wound up getting this........



Hopefully weather permiting the engine and tran will be going in tomorrow (SATURDAY)

The only thing that suxx about this, is I am probally going to have to bash up my trans tunnel or cut some of it out.

Looks like it will fit without any cutting or smashing !!!!!!!!

Cool, I thought it might fit, because it looks smaller than the GM part in the pics. Ok now get that motor and trans in!!! LOL!
