New Plates
Permalink Closed

So it is time to renew the registration on the Monte and I have the option to keep the Liberty plates I have or change to the new gold plates. I think the Liberty plates flow better with my black car but the new gold plates would look a lot like the plates that the car first had on it in 1985.

What do you all think? What is your personal preference?

go for the gold and navy blue. your car is dark and it will look fine. On Dave's it probably looks all kinds of messed up, lol. j/k Dave...I know how much of a fan you are of the new plates.

I Hate the yellow and Blue retro plates!!!!!

I have the custom Dale Plates, 2 different versions on each car

I like yours Jim, but that's cause I'm a big fan of trains

There's a partition to have the twin towers put on nyc plates on facebook, but since the yellow & blue just came out that probably won't happen...

I Say put anything on other then those retro ones, YUCK!!!!

Joe

Well I appreciate the feedback. I decided to stay with the white and blue plates I currently have. I think it works better with my darker colored car. The plate flows with the look of the car.

The funny thing is that they want $25-$45 more if you change to the new gold and blue plates. No thanks! $115 is enough for registration.

Joe the story behind the train thing is that my neighbor first bought my car for me because of the side work i did with him building reefer cars for his train hobby.

i built 6 of these with him.

and he bought this for me since i didn't havethe money for it at the time.

if the reg was due on the wagon I'd go with the new plates. Like the retro idea on the 80's cars. But on the 300, I'd stay with the white ones.
