Smokin a MOPAR!!!

I gotta tell this story cause its awsome.. All my life i been around Mopars and was told how they are way better than Chevys or Fords. Don't get me wrong i still love Mopars as i have a 04 Dodge Ram w/ Hemi. So anyway i moved here to Tennessee about 4yrs ago and we have a 1/8th mile track called music city raceway. One day i decide to go with my brother in-law who at the time had a 69 Barracuda w/ 383 BB. I beat him by a half second 2 times and a few days before on the street he got me by a car length only cause i had my street tires on and not my ETs. A few weeks later i go again to the track and line up with this 68 Dodge Dart that said 360 on the side. I figure it would be a close race cause the dart is a light car. So we do the burnout, i got the first bulb lit and i hear something spraying.. Its the Dart purging the NOS. poop i thought this Dart was gonna smoke me, light goes green we both take off side by side and i notice hes behind me. I beat him by a full second. My Monte went 8.35 and the dart went 9.40. What the hell i thought Mopars was so great and i destroy one w/ nitrous. My Mopar lovin Brother in-law was there to witness the whole thing....

very cool. i too love the OLD mopars but some of the new ones are nice as well.

Nice job! I like a few Mopars but I am a Chevy guy all the way.

My second favorite car is a 71 Cuda, but I really dont like Mopars, only reason I have the 300 is because GM refuses to build something decent besides the G8. Dealers are crazy when it comes to pricing anything new and exciting. Camaros & G8's are over sticker and I refuse to pay that much for any car. Got my HEMI for 1/2 the cost of a Camaro SS or G8GT.

BTW, 1st favorite 70 Chevelle!!!!!
