were you driving? or was the car hit while parked? If driving, how fast were you going?

Its ok...and she is sore as hell and has whiplash and swelling just about everywhere. Atleast the seatbelt worked...can you imagine if it was a freeway collision my girl would probably be dead or seriously injured

Nope california..the other state with palm trees...anyhow what would be reason if any besides faulty system that the bags wouldn't deploy on that kinda impact????

Kyle, First, Glad she's OK. Second, Sorry to hear she wrecked the car. But to answer your question, Air Bags will only deploy when the seatbelt is on. And since you said she was wearing it that idea is out. Next It takes 2 sensors to trip the air bags, and looking at the pics, all three sensors should have tripped. also she would need to be traveling at a speed of over 35 MPH. Was the air bag light on previously?? If it was then they won't deploy due to the computer thinks there is already a problem.

didn't you say in a previous post that your air bag light was on all the time??? Did you have it checked out and repaired??? If you did, you would have issues with whoever repaired it ... if not, well, .......

Yeah I'm glad she's okay as well. And no my air bag light only came on and flashed when I started the car n always went off. So it had to have been a faulty system. And gm called me today and I refered them to my lawyers office. I hope I'm succesful cause what if I or my girl was on the driveway. We could have died

They would blink normal when id staret it up and I had someone check the sensor with a gm tool and there wasn't any errors I'm thinking it was just drirt cause it stoped when I had an inspection done on it by gm when they did a recall nothing came up cause they looked at everything and even told me everything that was wrong and if that light was on don't you think they would have brought it up?

Glad nobody got hurt .... but the whole story sounds strange. The light was "on 98% of the time" ... then it was "on, but went out" ....was "checked out and found no problem". Are you sure the sensor wasn't disconected or something when you had one of your many repairs done???  Before you sue GM, you better make sure your story is straight.  Thank God nobody was seriously injured. As a matter of fact with an impact like that and only a seat belt for potection, and the driver was not seriously injured, I would say that is one Hell of a safe car!!!!
