So, time for Gabi's 86 to go......some good some bad with it, here is the lowdown:
I swapped in a fresh motor last year, 305 SS motor from Dave redline's 87 aero. The motor had a new timing set put in and has a GM serp setup on it with mechanical fan and AIR delete pulley, but I do have the AIR pump if you want it. It has Eddy TES headers, new walker exhaust with new trubo mufflers. It needs new battery cables and a new battery then just hook up the starter, fire it up, set the timing and she should be good to go. I have the timing roughly set around TDC so she should fire up, close enough. New radiator in it too I swapped out the brakes, the calipers and all were pretty bad, I used the much better ones from my 85 when I went aftermarket on my brakes. It has my old Ultra/centerline wheels on it with Indy Firehawks, not sure how the tires are though from sitting. I have the factory SS alloys in the basement, but missing center caps on two I think...the original wheels are in so-so shape. Tranny mount is shot but I have a new one to swap in also. Battery and cables are the ONLY parts you need to get it right back on the road. Many of you have seen this car before, it did make the orient trip two years ago BEFORE the motor swap.
Some rust issues, especially the trunk lid, some very light rust around fenders, otherwise clean and solid. The interior is faded bad, but I have extra door panels, several sets actually. The chin spoiler is cracked, but I have a new one for it.
$100 bucks and a couple of hours of work and she is good to hit the road again.
The pics:
The car is dirtier now than those pics, but it will clean right up to look like that again. it has been sitting for some months
The motor that went in:
That was taken right after dropping the motor in, since then I have put everything back together. Everything is re-assembled, the carb, dist, rad, fan and clutch, etc, etc, etc are all back in and hooked up. Only the batt, cables and connections to starter need to be completed, put in some fresh gas and fire it up. Timing will still need to be set.
Any questions or anything else, please email me - rocknss1985@gmail.com I get on here occasionally, so email is the fastest way to reach me.
Thanks for looking!
Timmy asked me to change the price in the heading.

I am asking 2K, but will listen to reasonable offers....
Some more pics, interior and what it looks like under the hood, dirty from sitting, but everything is intact! The full details in my original post above
Everyone.....price is $1500....it has to go!! Motor, serp setup and headers are worth that alone........please read and let me know if there are any questions....but this car MUST GO!
holy crap Tim, we were just talking about you the other day!!!!! I went past your street and didnt see any Montes in front of your house, thought you moved or something.
Scott.....the 86 is out there......85 is either in the garage or wherever I am and I sold the 2001 back in late June......but the 86 still had to be there. Sure you passed the right house??
Everyone......I assure you even though this car cannot be started and run until a few things are completed, this is well worth the $1500 I'm asking. I gave plenty of detailed info above about the car, it is exactly what I'm saying it is. It has to go......hopefully to someone who can appreciate it.

that could be the problem, but I usually really good at remembering where people live once Ive been there. Its possible I just didnt see it or it was blocked or something. My brother bought a house off WF down by the water, Ive been traveling that route a lot lately. Next time I go by with the Monte, I'll swing by and say hi if you dont mind.
Glad it's going to a good home!!!! He was talking about paint already when he was here last night!
I made him promise to bring it by to visit once in awhile lol
Hate to part with it, but happy to see it go to someone who will appreciate it and take good care of it. It's a good solid car, just needs a little tlc
