Someone on my block called the town on me last week about my car trailer. U can't have trailer on your Property in my town. But u can have a boat, RV, or a camper, so what is the difference? The trailer is parked on the side of the house. Now i need to find a place to put it or sell it

Have the ordinance read to you!...Define it as a "Car transporter or a Vehicle Storage unit",
It is all in the nomenclature that they use! I know that a lot of towns do not want "People Trailers" parked there. But it IS a transport device tagged as a "trailer".....Push It with the ordinance readings? Fight for your RIGHTS (or have them remove the boats and campers ALSO)!

Yeah, I know what your going through. I freaked out I got a letter from the town about Matt's car on the side of the garage. It was regestered and everything. But the friggen bomb thrower around the corner can keep a 30 foot motor home along side his driveway thats not even regestered!
Good luck Rob!

Are you kidding me???? I guess this is one of those reasons why I may not like living in li, have to get the towns approval on everything!
Geez Rob I hope it all works out and you get to keep the trailer..people who complain about stupid things like this to the town board have nothing better to do with there lives!
bring it down to Colonial Beach, Va, I can store right next to my open trailer as long as it is registered. Asshats. :(

My lawyer is still working on it, but the town is calling it Commercial and it's not permitted in a residential area. They also said that checked out my house on Nov 4th and I didn't have any trailer here and would not be back to check again. If no one complains . So down with 2 tree, and a six ft fence is going up. Then I'm going to back it up to the shed in the spring. A friend of mine is using it for the winter as a garage for his 51 merc.
I can get you a nice "Not for Hire" decal for the side
bingo thats the loophole.
i THINK and i could be wrong but, if it has a vent/ac in the roof and a way to get in and out of a door via inside it could be considered a camper.
i would definitely do the not for higher sticker on the trailer. what most people do not know is that your pick up has commercial plates. if you go out of state you "technically" must go in to the scale houses. with a not for higher sticker they can not stop you.
scott sometime in the spring i'll be contacting you for my dad's trailer.
