Anyone else with a 3.8 thats sucking gas down like a V8?? I don't know if its bc its cold or the winter blend gas or bc i have higher ratio rockers but its crazy the amount of gas my car goes through in just 2 days driving 35min to and from work.. The Temp Gauge reads cooler than normal like the time i stuck a 180 thermostat in it..disbelief

its possible the t-stat failed in the open position. Also, colder temps outside will definitely use more gas

And another thing i forgot to mention.. If i'm at a light for long time or stuck in traffic, the temp gauge climbs to about mid way then the fans kick on till i start driving then it goes back to where it was!!!hmm

It's the gas, Mine had dropped down to 23MPG average and now it's starting to come back up. Hopefully over the next couple weekends, I'll have the chance to replace the intake gaskets, the plenium, plugs, wires, oil, Clean the Throttle body, IAC motor and the k&N filter. Plus with the new tires, it should bring it up again.
