So most of us have been getting ready for the GM Nats, and we are all excited.
Well, It's a little moew special for me (becides the fact that it's my first NAts) but it's also very close to where I purchased my car. I was lucky to have the Window sticker when I purchased the car, and today I decided to look up the dealer on the window sticker and conntact them, perhaps to know why, when the car was painted, but nothing more than perhaps someone with the love of cars just enjoying the story. SO here is what I wrote and we will see if I get a responce (probably wanting to know if I want to purchase a new/used car)
Good Afternoon, I know this may be a little strange, but I wanted to tell you a story that may interest you. For years I had been looking for an 83-88 Monte Carlo SS. I finally found the car of my dreams in 2009 when I purchased a 1988 Monte Carlo SS from an owner in Elizabethtown PA. I should note that I am from Rochester NY, almost 300 miles away. To much surprise, the car came with the original window sticker, and the original owner (I'm told I'm now the 3rd owner of the car) bought it from your dealership. I know it may be far fetched, but would you happen to have any info on the car... (like why the car was painted green from the original black color) but at the very least I wanted to share my experience with you and thought that you may enjoy it as well. I would love to send pics of the original window stick and of the car if you would like. Thanks for your time and have a very nice day.
The dealer was A&T Chevrolet in Sellersville PA. Jim/Karen I don;t know if you are familiar with the dealer but it looks like it's not too from from you guys
Tim, that would be a great picture, your car on the original dealers lot. I would love to do that, But theres no way I'd be caught dead in Florida again, much less truck it all the way to Kissimee!
good luck on what the dealer can tell you
