glad i had my camera!!

well i was going thru some pics & i forgot about these.

i was sitting at my desk one day and we heard a chopper which isnt so unusual. but as it got closer it sounded like it was in the room with us. anyone that knows me knows my hearing is ehh at best, so you know this stood out.

well i turn around and see this:

well thats not what i actually saw in that order but im glad i had my camera at work and could get it out in time.

i work 2 blocks from the empire state building and have a real clear view of it from my window.

i never expected to see cobras flying around manhattan. this was actually their second pass of the area. i fumbled around for my camera on their first pass. ive been working in nyc for 17yrs and the only time ive seen something remotely similar is during fleet week or fly bys. since the armory is close by we get a lot of hum v's.

but as u can see they are awful low. im on the 16th floor in my office and i would guess they were about at the 70th floor of the empire state, maybe.

heres a pic showing outside my office itll give u a perspective of how low they were:
